I don't, actually. I'm going to have to make a post about how bad the recent payment processing deplatforming is. I've lost about 2/3rds to 3/4ths of my total annual in the last few months.

There were actually years where I made zero money. I literally moved to Ukraine and the Philippines to reduce my overhead by a few hundred dollars a month so I could afford to live and run my site on less than a thousand dollars a month after emptying out all of my savings. I didn't make enough to actually do anything until 2019.

Some fun facts about India for anyone who wants to do some light reading. These aren't about anything in particular, just things I've thought about recently. There's a little something in here for everyone.

• India has at least 20,000 deaths to rabies every year because they keep getting bitten by street dogs

• Leaving trash everywhere, and not being allowed to cull stray dogs because of animal rights activists means there' a constant population of stray dogs. Aside from spreading rabies, gangs of dogs eat women and children when they go out to use the shared toilet.
• India semi-recently had mass protests over a man raping a dog to death in the streets. This happens every so often, and another man was arrested for public dog rape earlier this month.
• Their airlines are constantly receiving fake bomb threats that they're forced to respond to. It's basically the issue we have with swatting, but it's hundreds of times as destructive.
• In 2022 a higher caste Indian beat his dalit student half to death for no reason. The kid was carted to the next village over and died in transit.
• They're legally allowed to discriminate based on age and other protected statuses in the US. If you look up any bank loan, they all have strict age requires, including retirement age, although you can get a young person to cosign for you. Or they just flat out give you a higher interest rate based on your age. I actually agree with this, because I don't see why a 30 year old should pay more to subsidize a 60 year old who will die before the loan is finished.
• They over-prescribe antibiotics, and their population is well over 1 billion. I'm just speculating but the next pandemic will probably be from india and involve a multidrug-resistant bacteria
• The official US travel guide for India states "Do not travel alone, particularly if you are a woman. Visit our website for Women Travelers."
• India has issues with lead, which lowers IQ and is particularly bad for children. Don't buy cookware from amazon unless you're absolutely sure it's not coming from asia.
• Back in 2016 they lost two movie stuntmen to drowning at the same time by dropping them out of a helicopter even though they couldn't swim. The motorboat meant to collect them had an engine failure.
• The "Cobra Effect", or perverse incentives, is named for when the British government tried to pay Indians to kill venomous cobras, but they started breeding them for money and released them into the wild.
• The government is incredibly authoritarian. They arrested Dishi Ravi for conspiracy because she openly supporting a farmers protest. Canada also recently accused the Indian government of trying to assassinate people on Canadian soil, and India retaliated by suspending Canadian visas.
• There's an epidemic of low caste farmers in india committing suicide because of financial debt or humiliation
• There's a constant mini-war between muslims and indians in india. The US also advises not to travel within 10 miles of their borders.
• They lift strange phrases from English that we don't even use, like the "Creamy Layer", which I think is used to refer to the rich children of those in lower castes who still get government benefits
• India has mandatory caste quotas for government, jobs and schools
• The economy in India is so fucked that middle class are able to comfortable afford lower class servants, kind of like our boomers hiring third worlders to mow their lawn

I obviously spend way too much time thinking about India. I don't blame them for being desperate to escape their shithole but they absolutely shouldn't be coming here. They don't want to be in the US either, generally, they just want to be in a less shitty version of India.
