Did they ever fix what a miserable grind War Thunder is? Because the actual tank combat is great but fuck spending $70 or 800 hours grinding for modern tanks like the M1 or any of the jets.

Nope, never will either, makes them too much money charging money for 70 to 80 dollar premiums and the battlepass.

Funny, World of Tanks fixed the annoying grind because you can easily get from tier 1 to 10 in about a month of semi-casual play, and then completely botched the gameplay with powercreep and AIDS premiums. Not to say that War Thunder isn't also full of gay premiums.

Don't remind me of the TURMS shitfest. Though on WoT's case, Tier 8 is cancer but Tier 9 is a sufficient balance between the sweatfest 10 and the powercreep 8.

They were SUPPOSED to according to their roadmap but barely little has changed. If you asked me, War Thunder should be split into WW1-WW2 and Cold War-Modern era. That would truly alleviate the cancer grind.

Yeah, it's fucking crazy that it isn't split between the two. So many more people would play the game if they could just avoid playing super low-tier and the mid-WW2 hellzone. Mid WW2 is so fucking miserable because a slight uptier results in your 1941 tank fighting 1944 or even 45-50 tanks designed specifically to rape it.

Not to mention the advertising. The advertising of the game keeps targeting the modern era tanks like BMPs and Strykers but the moment you start the game, you start in a bi-plane or a peashooter tank. How the fuck did they get away with this is insane.

It hasn't released but it already has its own spinoff "completely separate game", Arena. How could a company with that level of hubris make such a mistake?
 
IMO where it's at as far as the current response is pretty decent, but to me there's bad blood due to how we got here. Doesn't feel like they understand what's wrong with their decision making just that they know they got a bunch of backlash. Rather than feeling like a resolution, it feels more like a "we caught you this time, can't wait to see the next scam you come up with though"

Yeah my Tarkov playing friend group all would rather just play SPT instead of official. No hackers, no retarded events, no getting dunked on by no-lifers.

I've got everything set up for FIKA but I'm not getting a host raid option when I go to start one

E: all the links to download it in the github documentation lead to a dead discord server. Its also not showing up in my mod menu when I hit f12 in game

I had the same issue but apparently there was a package my friend sent me from the discord that I wasn't aware of. Filename was "MPT_HOTFIX_2_0.9.8876.41975.zip" but I don't have a direct download that I verified to it. I have what my friend sent me, and I trust him, but I know "a friend gave this to me and it just werks" doesn't really garner much trust.

The prices for the game are in the top right of each category. They have a $100 edition day 1 that gives you just as much p2w shit as EOD did.
Sorry about the small picture, but that's what the devs put up on steam themselves.

Ah yes, I can barely see the text so I just automatically assumed the money below was the cost, for some reason. 100 dollars for a different version of the same shit you just jumped ship for seems to work out with these EA grifters though.

There's Beautiful Light:

Currently in Pre-alpha, but multiple Youtubers have been able to play it. Its basically a mix of Tarkov, Stalker, with a backstory that's basically "a world filled with anomalies where the SCP Foundation/RPC Authority didn't exist".
