Can any medical folks on this thread confirm if what Ethan said in the recent video about Giardiasis (i.e. being a very common infection in humans/no big deal) is correct? 'cause it kinda sounds like bullsh!t (uh, no pun intended). My knowledge of infectious diseases is quite limited (...since I went to art school) but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume any pathogen capable of making a grown adult horse pass out in a pool of its' own vomit, is probably not a walk in the park for any human unlucky enough to contract it.

Honestly, you'd think being contacted multiple times by the FBI to inform you they intercepted credible threats against the life of you/your loved ones, would be the main issue Ethan would be making a fuss over.

Due to modern mandated reporting laws, CPS gets contacted for dumbass reasons all the time. Unless you're a negligent parent, the social worker eventually fills out a report confirming everything is fine, the end. I had a friend back in high school who accidentally got CPS called on her parents 'cause she ditched school one too many times without a valid doctor's note to explain her absence (she was actually skipping her afternoon classes to work extra shifts at her job so she could save up for a car).

Public Health Medfag here so this is my wheelhouse.

Giardia is a condition that healthcare providers are mandated to report to the health department. It's spread specifically by contact with contaminated feces or food/water contaminated by it. Essentially you need to swallow a few tiny parasites to get sick.

In a normal, healthy adult it's not dangerous but in small children this level of chronic diarrhea could be deadly. Same goes for someone who might be a serious drug user.

If I got a report of a whole household with giardia, I'd call CPS. It is not uncommon to see it in children who live in dog shit riddled houses.

I don’t disagree at all - it just seems like dozens of commies are now making their own reports. Ethan and Hila could work with CPS so every single tip doesn’t need their own investigation. I get that having some state employee looking at your house and at your kids is an inconvenience, but the easier you make his job and explain the situation , the faster he closes it out with a note.

Please don't take what Ethan says about Reddit snarksubs at face value. Snarksubs are not sinister dens filled with deranged cyberstalkers plotting cruel and unusual ways to destroy innocent peoples' lives. For starters, like 95% of snarksubs are dedicated to reality tv shows/reality tv celebrities/wacky fundie Christian influencers (I believe the fundie snark subs are the biggest/most active ones on Reddit. They probably generate the most snark 'cause fundie-influencers are always hawking batsh!t pyramid schemes/scams in the name of Jesus. Like that one fundie who'd sell 50 grand fortified bunker-timeshares for your sinner relatives to bug out to, in case they get left behind by the rapture. Note: these timeshares are only redeemable during Bibilical End Times-scenarios, not like, WW3 or any other situation where a bug out bunker would also be useful).

I agree with your point about being compliant, especially since it involves children. I also see his point about not wanting interviews to happen in the school though to save his kids from stigmatization/traumatization- kids know what's up at that age and can be brutal
