you'll seldom see atheists bash islams, that would be islamophobic. and oh, and god forbid you bash on the judaism.
Yeah YouTuber eazyonme made a video talking about Ben shaprio's belief in good and titled it "Christian stupidity"now last I checked Shapiro was Jewish not Christian

EDIT: surprise the chicken shit deleted it here's a response to our though

You almost can't go on FSTDT anymore because these guys are taking over the comment section.

"Jesus is a myth for idiots!"
"There is no God. Deal with it, dipwad."
"The flood never happened, and your 'God' doesn't exist! Ergo, your opinion is completely irrelevant! HA-HA!"
"It should be made illegal for parents to teach their kids about Jesus until they're thirteen!"

I used to go there a lot but now, not quite as much. As someone who believes there's still a God floating around somewhere out there, the comments section, which used to be a place to laugh and snark, is starting to annoy me a bit.

Morning here some euphoric edge don't cut yourself with it

Sorry the double post here's some Tumblr euphoric exceptional individuals

EDIT: I'd like to ask one of these people or sometime like this if they're truely happy acting like this

You speak as if anti-theism is mutually exclusive with atheism.

I am an agnostic atheist (see the first four entries of the FAQ if that confuses you). I am also an anti-theist. More accurately, I'm anti-religion because I also oppose non-theistic religion.

I've never been particularly fond of religion, but I started to oppose it actively when I realized that the faults in religion are both ubiquitous to all successful religions, and likely a feature of what makes them successful in the first place. Specifically I'm opposed to (in order of most concerning to least) authoritarianism, dogmatism, and supernaturalism.

What?Do you really need to be all these terms instead of just putting it under the umbrella of atheism? Maybe edgyism is a better term for this person.

What I hate about atheism is people like this who have turned it somehow into a sort of religion without any worship or ceremony. Maybe more like a sort of soft cult. If you don't believe in God then why the hell are you so obsessed with his existence?

It's constantly everywhere. I've seen Youtube comments devolve into stuff like this because someone mentioned religion casually without any intention of proselytizing.

For a bunch of people that don't believe, God sure is important to them. An integral part of your identity shouldn't be going around telling people what they believe is wrong. They complain about religious people trying to get them to believe or telling them they are going to Hell. Yet here they are being far worse.

This topic reminds me of something I saw that I took to heart, and it makes me wonder why there is no atheist counterpart, at least one I'm not aware of.

"I'm an Ambassador for Christ, not an Asshole for Christ"

To render it more like it's usually said, some Christians will point to where Jesus was never a jerk about what he preached and they will advise other Christians to live up to that label (of being "Christ-like") and be the same patient, reasonable person Jesus generally was.

Granted, a lot of Christians are assholes, and more's the pity, but I have to wonder if there is an atheist belief about how you don't need to be an asshole about convincing people that there isn't a supreme being or higher power.

I have spoken with many atheists who are reasonable about it, and none of them have had to be reminded about how being a dick about their beliefs is a bad idea, they just agree to disagree with those willing to do so in kind.

Go up to an Asshole for Christ, and ask them how being an asshole helps their cause. You're likely to get some variant of "Well, I act this way to make sure people understand the TRUTH I bring! The world needs this message and as one of the enlightened, it's my job to deliver it! If doing the right thing makes me an asshole, that's just too bad!"

An asshole athiest would say almost the exact same thing, for the exact same reason. They both assume the endgame is a pat on the head and being told they were right all along.

Has anyone posted this yet?

You can't be appreciative of the fact that those people liked your talent? But no, dare mentioning God is the most insulting thing ever.

In addition, I found this:

Again, another "I'm so much smarter than you" attitude because apparently science is only exclusive to atheists.

Newton's Laws

1. In an inertial frame of reference, an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a force.

2. In an inertial reference frame, the vector sum of the forces F on an object is equal to the mass m of that object multiplied by the acceleration a of the object: F = ma.

3. God not real.

Yeah, except Newton believed in God, as others in this thread have probably already pointed out.

Here's some FSTDT euphoria, in case anyone wasn't sure what I was talking about. Anon-e-moose in particular seems really desperate to push his message. Half of his comments are him obnoxiously mocking the OP and shouting "God doesn't exist!" and the other half of his comments are pictures of anime and ponies. No joke.

I would also keep an eye out on the commenter named "Quantum Mechanic".

>tfw you think christians in general think divorce is perfectly okay

what sort of christianity-and-water are these people looking at

Hey, anyone remember this lovely person I mentioned a while back? Now he's using the recent terrorist attack in New York to make a jab at religion, because that's definitely not tasteless at all.

Also, I know that Ricky Gervais has been mentioned on this thread before. I can see why.

So they're finding ways to bring up religion on every holiday now?

They already do it for Christmas and Easter why not the other ones now
