What "success" does he have so far? Does he have a record contract? Won any international competitions? Has he been admitted to Juilliard or Curtis?

And yup, being born to a family who can afford to let you learn an instrument, and allowed you to practice for hours, for 18 years, without other worries, is something that you earned yourself, no?

And I'm sure he would recoil at the very idea of playing J. S. Bach.

Anyone who takes the Bible (or the Torah) at face value is an idiot. There's a bunch of whackadoodle shit in there because it's a book of parables and stories meant to act as moral guidelines, not necessarily historical record but heavily influenced by the culture of those writing it (which is why you get stuff like legalized slavery and polygamy, practices we've abandoned in the modern day).

This comic is a common meme among atheists but it was actually created by Christians during the Enlightenment era to try to prove Christianity was some higher evolution of religion and deism being the most woke.
 
I'm surprised he isn't rejoicing that all those dang dirty Christians were killed.

Bach signed his manuscript "Soli Deo gloria", the glory is God's alone. If the creator of the music deferred to God, how presumptuous a mere interpreter, such as a violinist, claims all the glory for just himself?

The funny thing about posts like the second one is that they complain about how people are sending prayers instead of physically doing something, yet here they are being assholes on Twitter instead of, y'know, doing something as well. Hypocrisy much?

Besides, it's not like those people, who likely live in other places, are going to pack their bags and head out to rural Texas. The best they can do is just hope things get better in the future (which is what I tend to think of "sending prayers" as).
