I remember anime simulator coming out when I was still in school, pre anime me, when all i knew was Yugioh; it was just a meme. If anything I see a lolsuit from him claiming he's been defamed in this situation and seeking damages for a game he was never going to finish in the first place.

this is wrong. you can delete whatever you want on discord, but discord still keeps logs of everything on their servers, including deleted content . it's not accessible by the public but when the cops come to discord HQ with a court order they get to se all of it: what was posted, when was it posted, by which account, from which IP, when was it deleted, etc.

It being pushed by public figures and Discord itself s a "community hub" that filters all the sex pests and child fans into the same place makes the situation worse. And you can have anything from huge hub servers, to smaller servers, to group chatrooms, to DMs and it removes the barrier to DMing someone cause you were already talking on Discord earlier.

It's been pointed out elsewhere (r/Osana), but it's also worth mentioning here; Alex donated less money to RAINN than he spent buying a subreddit that he could lord over. And while he did post his apology on his blog (along with blaming the minor whenever possible), he hasn't posted anything on his Patreon as of now (earnings are dropping, even if Patron count isn't).

VAs are continuing to publicly part ways on Xitter (I do hope someone who can tolerate that cesspit is keeping a running tally), so who knows what will be left when the dust eventually settles. I think it's a safe assumption at this point that any hope of crowdfunding in the future is essentially dead and buried unless Alex really buckles down, gets to work and manages to pull a No Man's Sky after a long period of radio silence (yes, I know that almost certainly won't happen).
