The way Fanny writes her stories and characters is very stagnant. Sidenote but I might be clinically insane; I've skimmed through most of the stories Fanny posted on AO3. They're very uninteresting and not worth much. Fanny has no talent so her writing is not compelling enough to read thoroughly, I'm pretty sure I've heard anons over on LCF talk about how difficult it is to not glance over her stories due to how unappealing her writing style is.
Point is: out of the whole CyLynn ordeal, the most interesting character was Kate, because Kate changes as a character and goes into conflicts with others. CyLynn just... don't. It's always the same scenario each and every time. He abuses her. She doesn't like it until she does, or if she doesn't, she just whines about it and Cy doesn't care. Cy cries about being a pedo. Lynn tells him over and over again she loves him either way and he's surprised every time. Repeat ad nauseum for what, two years now? Everything that could be interesting is not explored. Lynn's past? Fanny won't talk about it, she doesn't want to make torture porn. Cy getting called out for being a pedo? Getting into trouble with the law? Nope. The latest addition of Isabelle doesn't change anything since Lynn decides she's ok with it despite it being against her rules and Cy hiding it from her.
I can see Fanny getting bored with them because there's just little else to do with them when she's unwilling to go out of her comfort zone.

IMO, this was also relevant with the Laika story/persona. It’s just boring, Her manic pixie dream dad doesn’t argue with her and is basically a straw man with the personality of a wet paper bag. This one was so long on both the Anon's part and Fanny's part that it archived weirdly and screencapped weirdly, so apologies for jankiness. Given the latest conversation around Fanny's writing, it seemed worthwhile to post; if I had to highlight any particular line for farmer attention, I'd probably highlight "I'm a writer and I like writing stories, but I think it's always interesting to think about the impact of one's work" - but it's stiff competition between that and claiming that Cyrus and Kate's relationship is wholesome and that he actually stopped her from killing herself by grooming her. How funny it is of her to say Cyrus is not a lolicon when she has drawn him being attracted to her sona and she does insist on being an "irl loli". She has also shared fanart a mutual (tighnari) of hers made of Cy and her (tighnari's) tranny OC, which is a child in all but name. Fanny's grasp of anatomy has always been less than stellar - something about hyperfixating on Homestuck shitposts in her formative years did a bit of a dinger to her overall skillset - but her anatomy in the past year has really been something. I suspect her comics are a series of talking heads because she's aware that the simplistic faces she draws are the easiest and fastest thing for her to lay down, and she prides herself on her speed and efficiency; though it makes for a rather dull experience as a reader, I'd hardly call Fanny's audience discerning enough to care.

For some content: Fanny posted a new commission for a "friend"; I notice that she rarely names commissioners, which makes me wonder how many are shamefully forking over cash to get... this. To be polite to unsuspecting readers, this does feature both a rectal and vaginal prolapse, but it's Fanny so it's hard to tell.

Hope you don’t mind me sperging but on the topic of artstyles and anatomy, it’s somewhat interesting how from what I can tell many people preferred the art when she was under the Laika larp (or at least from what I saw on the lolcowfarms).

While the art style during that time wasn’t the best at say but atleast there was charm to it lowkey reminded me of the Scott pilgrim artstyle a bit.

I think with Fanny’s current style it’s a mix of cartoonish and a very failed attempt at realism imo.

Thanks for the compilation! I'm always interested in this stuff, I don't know how much everyone else is but I appreciate it. I can't help but wonder if Christianna's OCs are inspired by/ripping off Null's. I guess I'd have to see how far the similarities extend.

As for the art, as always, my appreciation comes with a heavy dose of nausea. Jesus, sometimes it's hard to believe people are really into this shit.

Perhaps one day I will learn how to upload pictures on this site and help you in this endeavor, however I am afraid I will fail to properly thumbnail something and invoke the wrath of our dearly esteemed leader or the jannies.

That said, it's surprising how tame this stuff from Polarka is. Maybe her divorce really changed her, because I recall much worse art from her (on a thematic perspective; she still draws face like one of a persian cat who got hit head-on by a truck). The few I'd seen from her was all about tiny, suspiciously child-like women getting abused by straight Dylan Hafertepen lookalikes. And here she is, depicting a dom who actually cares about his sub. That's character development, my friend.
(the tranny stuff from Garrett is absolutely horrific and I wish to wash away my eyes and sins with bleach. But then again, is it truly surprising coming from a former reddit mod?)

I agree it was more charming. It was simpler, more cartoon-y, so Fanny's poor grasp of anatomy showed less, it worked more with the over-the-top expressions Fanny likes to go for. It being in black-and-white also spared us from her piss-washed gradient maps. The main issue I'd see is how little it worked with the porn she wanted to draw, but then again, even with her usual style, she can't make appealing erotic to save her life.
