Chris hates conformity....except for when he fantasizes about being the dictator of a fascist city-state called CWCville, a town which is filled exclusively with mindless, sycophantic Chris worshippers.

Dude MLP sucks. Stop talking about it Chris. Honestly Sonichu is better than MLP. Seriously... grown ass man complaining about a little girls' show.

If anyone is allowed to sperg out about MLP it's Chris.

He's the original Brony, the missing link between "Nice Guy" and Brony. In 50 years time we'll be looking back at a future version of Gemtlemen and wondering where it all began.

I've said before, the only difference between then and now (although "then" tends to be much much earlier periods than just the 80s/90s) is that without the internet, none of us normal people had any chance of witnessing these deranged people in such detail. Before he would just be "That weird kid down the block with the necklace thing". Now the guy who sits in his house 24/7 screaming about cartoons/politics/the illJEWmanati has a magic metal box that can broadcast his insanity to all 9 billion people on this blue marble.

I love this comment so hard. I am so sick of grown men on the internet trying to justify breaking down the finer points of cartoons aimed primarily at 8 year old girls because they think it is SUPPOSED to be for them.
This episode of My Little Pony was making fun of communism, North Korea, and Apple's 1984 ad. While there are certainly parts of the show that would appeal to 8 year old girls, this was clearly written for a much older audience.

And Chris largely didn't get it.

A little of both. All good kids shows remember that the kids are probably watching with their parents and that they should be entertained too. The new MLP is definitely written with more than just little girls in mind. But, you know...the target audience is still little girls.

The target audience for the toys is little girls, but Hasbro knows quite well who is buying those toys for their kids, and that's the real target audience.

Funny how Chris complains about conformity when he himself suffers from something far worse.

Enormity.

All of this may be true about MLP's writing, but I don't remember neckbearded fedoras walking around with Animaniacs plushies that they stuck their peeners in, but yeah.
Naa, we'd know.
You'd be surprised, the 90's had the furry fandom at its worst, with stuff like a cult dedicated to gadget from chip and dale and plenty of creepers with fetish porn, or stalking the VAs.

As for this fandom, if you're curious, it didn't START ironically, but propagated that way.
Basically, /co/ genuinely took an interest in it and liked it when it came out, since /co/ enjoy any cartoon they find decent and found it better than expected, they had their little group which mostly stayed in their own thread doing fanstuff together.
Then a few month later a handful of /b/tards realized that /b/, (and /v/) couldn't contain their hate when exposed to ponies, so they decided to start a master trolling plan. They took all the content /co/ produced then started to spam it non stop on /b/ while acting the most obnoxiously friendly possible : Namefagging, pony header, "everypony loved"....
This was everyday at every hours on page 1, even when a mod tried to do a crackdown of it, quickly the trolling spiralled as many /b/tards realizing the trolling power of pony and joined them spamming it in the "pony general", most without even watching the show.

At the same time /b/ decided to make a "know your meme" page, which they used as their image dump. This made "mlp" a top meme for months, boasting about it trolling 4chan, the ebin 4chan war, , etc. And it's mostly from THAT, along with the formation of pony dedicated websites, that the fandom seeped out of 4chan and became a thing on its own . (There was always some groups in random forums, but it's definitely from there that most of the stuff like "love and tolerance" or the nickname "brony" became a thing.)

Anyway, I don't get why Chris doesn't like the episode when the hero are still winning in the end and pretty much validating his point of view.

Chris conforms to:
Bland mainstream pop culture tastes (Albeit those of a much younger demographic usually)
Popular (movie/tv) misconceptions of how romance works

Chris does not conform to:
Rules of grammar or word usage in the English language.
Common hygiene practices
Sexual and gender norms (in more ways than anyone has time to list)
Normal logic or common sense
Lifestyle expectations and activities for a man his age.

I'd say he's a non-conformist and likely not intentionally either. Mind you in most instances of his breaking of societal norms like his use of language, do not follow any pre-established outsider group either, its his own weird thing.

Though I find it odd that he claims to hate conformity so much when most of his non-conformity is likely due to his autism and is what keeps him from reaching the goals he claims he has in life.

So the rumors that the episode is anti-SJW-as-fuck are true then?

No wonder Chris despises it - he fit the bill for a self-serving SJW long ago.

It's more than likely a dig at tumblr/SJW culture than people realise. The head writer of this episode M. A. Larson is very clued in to 4chan culture and is a celebrity in the /mlp/ board. This is exactly the kind of thing he'd pull off

He hates conformity so much that he's cut himself off from society. I say its a win-win for both of us, Chris doesn't have to deal with JERKS and BULLIES and society doesn't have to deal with a violent malcontent.

EDIT- Oh wait no, Society is still at his very doorstep banging on the door while Chris tries desperately to hide.

See, that's the problem. You assume someone other than Chris having a personality, individual thoughts and a mind of their own. That's mad-talk!

Conformity is bad for Chris, cause it means he has to get down to the same level of eternal NPCs that surround him.

NPCs that surround him.

This.

It's a brilliant analogy for how Chris sees people. He actually seems to see real people as less real and worthy of consideration, than say, Sonichu and his various headswaps. Kinda sad really.

No doubt under a pile of plushies.

real people as less real and worthy of consideration, than say, Sonichu and his various headswaps
Remember that Sonichu themed Haiti image (on CWCki as "HelpHaitSonichu.jpg")? The furry recolors dwarf people in the pic.
