To be fair, the most expensive version is probably the only good one. There was a rumor that the 3DS version would play like the Sonic Adventure games, but it's actually completely 2.5D. Plus, there are also exclusives to each version plot and character wise (Amy is only playable in the Wii U version, and she is kidnapped in the 3DS version, so a new character, Sticks the Badger, joins the group).
 
I wonder if Chris complained when they change Sonic's Character model for Sonic Adventure? The Sonic Adventure Sonic model was big departure from Classic Sonic. I am shocked he actually cares that much about a slight redesign of modern Sonic.
 
He's threatening not to buy this game on the grounds the main character is 15 percent more blue? This coming from the man (child) who can't draw a straight line, color within them, or even stay on model for more than two panels?

... Yeah, that's our lolcow.

A google and wikipedia search I just did tells me that the main differences between the Classic Sonic and the Sonic Adventure model you talk about are Sonic's body shape. As another user has already mentioned, people on the autistic spectrum often have troube recognizing one face from another, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have the same problem with differentiating people based on body shape. Furthermore, if we look at Chris's comic we can see that the characters' models change radically from one panel to next. Coloring, clothes and the exaggerated heterochromia are the only things common between the various drawings of pre-Tomgirl Chris. If Chris can't see the inconsistency between characters' models in his comic, why should we expect him to see it other franchises?

I don't know if this is an actual thing but I've definitely struggled with it in the past.
 
If It turns out Chris makes this much of a deal over the colour of Sonics arms because he has trouble recognising his hero without his original colour palette, I think I'm going to call it a day on Chris. I'll be done.
 
In a way that's typical of Chris. Of all the shit to come out of the Sonic franchise, of all the absurd reimaginings and all the out of place gimmicks the series pulled the dealbreaker for him is that they changed the colour of Sonics arms. Maybe it's because I was always more of a Mario guy but I wouldn't even have notived it if he hadn't pointed it out.

Chris threatened to immolate himself in the parking lot of Nintendo of America when they changed the color of Mario's overalls. Thankfully, Nintendo wouldn't advance him the money for his plane ticket .

Now I'm wondering if Chris had difficulty telling classic Sonic from modern Sonic in Sonic Generations. Or if he even noticed a difference when the two were side by side.

I wasn't sure if I was reading what Marvin said correctly. It sounded like Chris might have gone in search of real Pokemon. I just want that to be true so badly.

Coincidentally, I found a live Sonichu once. I killed it.

Maybe Sonic has delayed puberty, sort of like Sammy C. S. F., and because of this the fur on his arms has just now begun to grow?
