I'm no Xeno fanboy but that ban was extremely Orwellian and, imo, an overstep by whatever jeet SE contracted to be a GM.
If talking shit on stream with XIV running in the background was really such a no-no, why didn't they gank him when he was tearing into Desolance or Pyromancer or the myriad other dunces he farmed for content?
I feel like a more appropriate punishment would be to revoke his Evercold media tour pass. But to ban his account for something completely outside of the game, especially when the next infraction will likely be a perma, just seems despotic.

It's because he said things in particular about Kate and Sena and MrFaggy.
Small wonder that the GMs decide to intervene after he calls Kate and Sena retarded bitches and MrFaggy a spineless pussy and his dumb cunt girlfriend Spofie a perpetual twitter karen.

Those people have some connection with SE whereas the others were just other players. Coincedentally, they all don't like Xeems for various reasons. All it takes is some karen calling, string pulling bullshit to happen for Xeems to get cencored and silenced.

Fascism!? In my MMO? Good heavens, I would've never expected it from a game and company that's been compromised by far left socialists and the alphabet mafia.

The length of his ban actually baffled me because it's somewhere between the standard 10 and 20 day bans. I don't know if/when he was banned previously and how long for but... if you're on that penultimate time-out, you need to escape scrutiny for a good couple of years and he's right in the crosshairs as a streamer regardless of any opinions he has. I feel bad for the dude because he didn't say anything that the rest of us haven't been saying the last 2 years. I get why they're going hard on him because he's a streamer and a high profile one, but there's so many people who have done the same thing, including on stream, and not got in shit for it. So if this is going to be the new normal going forwards (I don't want it to be), things could get interesting.

I do want it to be. if these faggots want Big Yoshida to watch every word they say and get snapped into a 10 day ban because they got bitchy in Alliance chat during LotA or during a pvp match, I'll be more than happy to cosign them to that hell they made.

doing it for things outside of FFXIV itself would open up a fascinating can of worms when it comes to retards dumb enough to attatch their names on discords or twitter too

And to open another fascinating can of worms, you know what's also against the rules and actively harms the brand (as admitted by Yoshi-P himself?) NSFW gposes.

It's wild to me that they let people get away with making literal pornography of their characters and posting it on online public spaces but if you publicly call one of their dangerhairs a retarded bitch, you're hit with a month long ban.

What's even wilder than that is when they shove that social media info in their in game search info... Which an alarming number do on EU. I've seen less since Mare died and we had The Talk about mods again from YoshiP, but I guess I just don't like the idea of the overreach as a general thing, and that's where I think Xeems really has a point. Otherwise yeah, I'd love to see this applied to more people for the chimp outs. Just don't feel that's worth people potentially getting banned because they've said somewhere else that they don't like the game and their IGNs are linked to that. If they're gonna apply it as part of the ToS I just want it applied consistently I guess is what I'm saying.

Especially since so many nsfw gposes involve disgusting fetishes as well as porn of in game characters, including Lalafells or underage characters like the twins or Ryne. If I were SE I’d care more about smacking people with bans over making gposes of the characters (especially the underaged ones) I created for my game getting raped or someone creating lolicon gpose porn of their player characters getting lolified and raped by animals like MissCallistis and his butt buddies Kaiyuri and Dumb_Ishgardian do than go after someone calling another person a retard on stream.

(Also unrelated but speaking of MissCallistis there is no way in hell that guy isn’t a tranny, everything about his behavior and his femra’s aesthetic just screams tranny no matter how many times he swears up and down he is a based straight man. He also politispergs about right wing American politics and white supremacy despite being Korean and living in South Korea.)

Can't wait to see what the deal with DT is first hand, I've tried not to spoil myself on it especially since I've heard its so mixed.
Update on this: I was beginning to wonder when the point where Yoshi P goes "Bored Now!" and completely switches the tone of the expac, but then I got to it. Jesus, I really didn't expect it to hit that fast. Speaking of, I am a little relieved the plot is pretty brisk but holy shit it likes to repeat itself. I know EW did that quite a bit but this feels worse somehow. That aside, I don't hate this expac so far, its been nice enough to not force you to go back and forth too many times. I will admit however that this is the first expac where I am routinely skipping cutscenes because they're either full of nothing or information I already knew.
