Dramacow FineBros - Copyrighting React Videos Controversy, the Ongoing Shitstorm, Sadly Increasing Subs

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.

TFB tries it, using the death of David Bowie to cash in and try to get the Internet to forgive them for the React controversy, unsurprisingly because the internet is full of idiots it's actually working.

This is no different to when they used the death of that teen or the elementary school killings for advertising money and positive publicity
I like how they're on par with DSP in terms of being scrupulous like that. I imagine that this really recouped some financial loss too since the average viewerbase for these guys don't seem that with it.

Considering their viewer base is presumably mostly children they probably have no real relationship with Bowie or his music. They're just "sad" because that's what your supposed to do when you read about someone famous dying. I like David Bowie quite a bit and my reaction to him dying was "Huh, that's too bad I wasn't expecting that" and then not really thinking about it more than that.

Because this is what you want to do in order to avoid controversy. Fucking twits.

Using the old, tried and true method of death guilting to take attention away from this controversy?
SwineBrothers, you fucking scumbags.

The comments section is peppered with comments like that one, which says a lot about their viewers intelligence when it really is blatantly transparent exactly what their game was.

At least it's given them the tiniest kickback in subscribers but it's inconsequential.

Now, tell me this: do they get a view when the page loads? Like, what if you adblocked the youtube video player (do they have adblock plugins flexible enough to do it for certain urls?)? Do they still get the view?

They get the view if you're logged into Youtube. Adblock blocks ads in every video player, no matter where it's shown.
The adblock plugin I use lets you block certain html elements. (On top of whatever else it does, probably what you're describing.)

So I should be able to block youtube's video player. If I could restrict it to certain urls, I could prevent the video player from showing up at all on fine bros videos.

So my question is: if the video never loads, does it ding a view or not? (I guess we don't know, we'd have to test it, I guess.)

The AdBlock for YouTube plugin blocks the video ads, too. It's questionable how beneficial this is, because the actual process of blocking it consumes a few seconds, perhaps making it more efficient to just skip them manually.

"elders react to david bowie"
what, do they think he's a new popstar?
where were they in the 50 or so years?

The Fine Bros mainly market to dumb, unsophisticated idiots. The fact that David Bowie was 69 and probably quite familiar to his contemporary "elders" isn't something they care about.

Most of their market is either 12 year olds or the kind of people impressed that they have various "react" videos where it's basically "teens react while mysteriously showing their underage cleavage to a convenient camera angle."

so basically the same people that thought paul mccartney was an underground musician until kanye west collab'ed with him?
