I like how they're on par with DSP in terms of being scrupulous like that. I imagine that this really recouped some financial loss too since the average viewerbase for these guys don't seem that with it.
TFB tries it, using the death of David Bowie to cash in and try to get the Internet to forgive them for the React controversy, unsurprisingly because the internet is full of idiots it's actually working.
This is no different to when they used the death of that teen or the elementary school killings for advertising money and positive publicity
