You don't have to me mean to be imposing. And Frank didn't even bother being mean to Josie, he only attacks people that he knows are weaker or less likeable to the cast and audience than he is. He's not worth the price tag imo, it's not like anyone else is paying him that.
I have not followed any of the outside drama with Frank and I simply don't care, because it doesn't change anything about his work in fishtank.
His S2 performance was better than his S1 and his S3 was even better.

He went after Alex B's monkeys which produced a great result.
He used Burt's gayness against him to great effect and it resulted in some amazing moments.
He made Conner freak out by going for his closeted homosexuality.
"He just throws shit and piss at people and physically attacks them," is at best stupid or at worst a lie.
PS Reading some of you guys, you seem to get defensive on behalf of the fish, thinking Frank is their personal enemy.
Frank is playing a role and doing a good job poking the fish at their weak spots.
You might not get it, because you are all emotional about it, but Frank doesn't actually want to kill the fish.
And no, you couldn't do what he does even if you got $30k to work with.
