She's obviously a highlander style immortal. It makes perfect sense - he fucked barb, got arrested, the other prisoners found out he raped his mom and shanked him to death. He then revived as an immortal and upon his release was then tracked down by flutter, per tradition, to teach chris how to survive as an immortal. Seeing how incompetent chris is and knowing he'll never survive long as an immortal, caden stepped in and granted him a sort of asylum, hiding him away at the house to keep him from losing his head to somebody and winning the game and therefore triggering the merge. She doesn't want to be tracked down or let chris be watched too carefully as shes trying to hide what she really is
