Let's see how it will go in the rain (if we actually get rain). Might be a nice mixup though F1 might be so timniod we won't get much of a race if it rains heavily

The race starts at 4PM Montreal time. At 5AM the light rain begins. So it will have rained for 11 hours before the race starts. I expect it will be light to moderate drizzle with potential bursts of heavier rain. As the amounts per hour are pretty much negligible, I assume we are fortunate as the race should not get pussified due to the minor accumulations. It can all change tho so I will check what the updated details are in the AM.

6 hours before race current outlook. Looks like scattering now and not as much rain.

Obviously weather prediction is not an exact science, but assuming this is accurate, damp/wet track but no rain falling at start, then rain maybe half way point. Let's see. I'll check again around 1pm Mtl time.

Seems we are getting rain cucked. F2 is currently doing a dry race. Then again we still have 3 hours left and a 1.5 hour race ahead of us

What I find kinda interesting is how basically all drivers have complained about the tyres not heating up and they fear that a rain race will just a "drive to survive" nothing more because the rain tyres are not fit for Montreal

I just checked the radar, definitely looks like rain pockets are not going to hit during the race. Maybe one brief bit. But from looks of it nothing significant is approaching. Something could bubble up tho, I have been in Montreal enough to see thundershowers suddenly come out of nowhere. But that was in June...lul

Since its chilly, I doubt the track would dry quick. My guess is start will be al on Int and see if anyone nails the switch over to reg tires at right time, assuming it dries enough to allow for that. Could see someone nail a strategy right. Slightly optimistic it will be a good race.

EDIT-Track looks bone dry on grid. So, looks like no Inters at moment needed. Be interesting with the cold and wind what tires people choose.
