Here's my theory, Francis was never told he was autistic. He has his autistic interests like xitter art culture and creepypastas that he views as normal and when he sees other autistic interests he is able to see that they are autistic. He doesn't realize that there is overlap between the autistic things he likes and the autistic things he dislikes so he never puts 2 and 2 together and never realizes he is autistic. A bit of a powerlevel, but I have a good amount of friends on the spectrum, and you can tell the difference between the ones who know they have autism and the ones who don't know. You already know which group I'm saying acts more like Francis.

I don't think it's that, he mentioned going to some special needs school as a kid. I think it's more so that he deep down recognizes that people are right and also finds his trolls funny/'cool' to some degree, and is trying to copy them to feel better himself. Whether it's him using the word 'gegbull' or trying to bully perceived lesser autists, he has internalized a lot of the trolling to a great degree but instead of self-improvement has just tried to ape the aesthetic and bring it into his existing circles and situation. He wants to be seen as how his mind perceives "cool" people to act, aka his evil internet cyberbullies, but he doesn't want to actually be respectable, so you get this awkward inbetween where a guy who is earnestly obsessed with sonic.exe is trying to judge people for being into Max Design Pro or whatever. Younger brother trying to act like the 'cooler' older bro who really wants nothing to do with him but in this case you don't feel bad, just irritation that he's a few months shy of 19 and still acting like this.

Francis is seeking developers, again. Seemingly, this is because of cuts from the team due to "inactivity." It is unknown whether the developers were supposed to be paid after the project was completed or if they already were paid on an hourly basis. But the amount of different kinds of developers he's currently searching for tells me he either kicked out quite a bunch, or he never had any to begin with.

I think this "delay" of his is more or less an excuse to not do any work. And if you can't push devs, then what good are you as a "developer lead"? if that's even applicable. It's more like that one scene in Season 4 of Breaking Bad when Walt gets a bunch of Mexican ladies to clean up the super lab while he sits back and does nothing.

But to be honest, he's losing more devs than he's gaining. He can't gain trust because he has no intention of building any. He just wants drones to do his work for him. But he's unable to do so since nobody cares enough to stick around:

Francis, you're not a developer lead, heck, you're not even a developer. If you cared so much for this little project of yours, you'd kept going despite having to constantly fail. Because even if you fail, you can always get back up.

I guess a little word of advice for Francis' little game dev journey is to build trust rather than going all into a project with no-one backing you up. An example: Think of a SWAT leader charging into a room filled with MAC-10 wielding meth heads while his team sits back, too cowardly to go with him. You don't want that on a team. So, gain trust. Then get to work on your little project.
