Not a collector whatsoever but I still have some of my older shit, dug some of the more rare shit out of storage for a quick picture

I've had that Pokemon Yellow cartridge since I was a child and the battery still hasn't required a change somehow. That's probably my most sentimental thing. Most expensive is probably that GB Player disc alongside the Gamecube & extension itself, apparently it's all like several hundred bucks alone now or some shit. In-box Black 2 & XD are probably the most valuable otherwise, they're really expensive for some reason. Same with Soul Silver, which even without the box like me, it's apparently like $100. The thing that surprised me the most, though, was looking up the price of Shadow-the-fucking-Hedgehog and seeing it go for $80 even without the case on Ebay, so I put it in this picture too.

All of the Gameboy and GBC cartridges for the first two generations of Pokemon, and probably just about every GameCube game we have. We also have the GameCube add-on that lets you play Gameboy cartridges on your TV.

Not a collector, just stuff my sister and I accumulated as we grew up.

I just don't understand why non-sealed mainline Pokémon games are worth so much. They're literally some of the most common games for each generation of Nintendo handheld.

Obviously, some of the value is "muh nostalgia" but how is that different from, say, Sonic the Hedgehog games for the Sega Genesis, the first three of which can easily be gotten complete-in-box for $50 or less? (Sonic and Knuckles is worth a little more but that's because it's a unique pseudo-peripheral cartridge.) The only big difference I can think of is that the Genesis Sonic games have been re-released on other platforms numerous times while Pokémon games are generally stuck on the original handheld.

Not sure the worth on most of mine, as I still have many that I had growing up. Would have to look into all that I have.

One that I have that I've seen selling for quite a bit is Kuon, some PS2 horror game. Don't remember how much I bought it for used at a Gamestop or something back then, but I see it going for $800+, and sometimes over $1000 with the game, case, and instruction booklet on eBay, which I have all of. Hell, I see the disc itself selling for at least $500.

Funny thing is that I never really played it that much. Probably never spent more than an hour or so playing it. May have to actually try it out again some day.

I either threw out or lost a copy of Soul Silver in a move and get mad about it every time I remember.

Most of my collection is stuff that would make me more than what I paid for it but not a significant amount, the only ones that stand out for cost vs resale value are:
God Hand
Devil Summoner 1, 2 with Raiho
Persona 1 PSP with soundtrack
Sealed Persona 3 Portable with hat
Silent Hill 3 - no soundtrack

Back in the 90's I had a Final Fantasy 3/6 and Final Fantasy 2/4. I also had a complete copy of FF7 in the original release jewel case that would hold 3 discs. I owned a copy of Phantasy Star IV as well. I bought it at an old video rental place that was selling off all their old SNES and Genesis games in the late 90's. I just bought Muramasa Rebirth for the PS Vita it was about $50. That's a bit much for an old game IMO.

I have a copy of Pokémon Soul Silver for the DS. I think I might even have the case and little book that came with it. I have a copy of Pokémon Platinum as well. Though I don't like the Pokémon games that much. I also had all the sonic games in the 90's though I was never a huge Sonic fan. I was a more of a Mario kid and I had Super Marion World Mario All Stars and that Yoshi game with baby mario.

I bought a copy of Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines off Ebay for probably $25. It's like in new condition almost.

My loose copy of Ninja Five-O is worth a few hundred dollars. One of my favorite games; it went to a good home.

I don’t have it anymore, but I used to have a copy of DuckTales 2 on the NES. It was released pretty late in the console’s lifespan, and ended up being a bit of a rarity. A loose cart sells on average for $185 while complete including box and instruction manual can sell for close to $300

Some games I got RECENTLY were (Douginexile's game :smug:) Skullmonkies for PS1, and Chulip for PS2. I got Chulip for $7, and was then shocked to see how much that goes for.

Some others i've owned for a while are Pokemon: Fire Red (I still remember the day getting it at Walmart in 2008, thanks dad), Pokemon White and White 2 (thank you mom for taking me to the 2012 Pokemon B&W convention, and if anyone here went I would love to know), Pokemon Crystal and Sapphire (my elementary friend gave them to me for no reason, and Sapphire has dog bites in it), Gameboy player and disc (like @thhrang), MGS 3D (thanks dad again, especially since he drove me out to a far gamestop), Um Jammer Lammy, Arc the Lad, Tomodachi life, Asura's wrath, Magician Quest: Mysterious Times, sealed copies of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon and Baroque for the Wii, sealed Etrian Odyssey 2 for 3Ds, and my most expensive game being a sealed copy of Yo Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters (I found randomly at target in 2020, and the price is now ludicrous).

My biggest regret isn't anything given away, despite my parents doing so with Final Fantasy Tactics for GBA (because a character said jerk), and Castlevania's NES classic edition for GBA (my mom thought it looked evil); my biggest regret is something I didn't beg hard enough for.

My old Burlington Coat Factory used to carry GBA games way late into the systems death, so it would get a ton of weird games that just hadn't sold well. Right when me and my mom were checking out, I ended up seeing Drilldozer, and I got extremely excited. I realized it's the game for the Drilldozer girl, who I only knew was in smash brawl, and I liked her design. This however, was right after Christmas. I knew I couldn't beg hard because my mom had gotten us a ton of toys, and my brother had a meltdown in the same Burlington a few days ago. I asked once, and to nobodies surprise, my mom said no. I sadly walked back to the shelf, and put it back. Now, in current times, it's a $200 game. Thank god I forgot to ask about it again, for me to then ask for Larry Boy on GBA weeks after...

i still have my warcraft 3 + frozen throne CD and since blizzard stole it out of peoples accounts and replaced it with reforged the only way to play classic warcraft 3 is either CD or pirate.

Persona 1 PSP with ssoundtrack
Own that one myself. Also still have the original PS1 disc, case and book.
I picked up a boatload of PsP games at gamestop when they were phasing them out for super cheap.
Mainly remasters of PS1 RPGs and ports we never got originally.
I still play FFT The Lion Wars.

I've made it a habit to bulk buy games when a console or handheld is about to shift to the next Gen.
I know the PsP titles were 5-10 bucks a pop. Hell when GameCube was phasing out I practically cleared out a bargain bin at Kmart and those games were literally 5 bucks each.

I wish i would have kept most of my games and consoles. But probably the most expensive game i had was a preorder disc for windwaker from 2003. That seems to fetch a fair penny these days.

Oh well. I have everything i owned backed up on a external drive.
