Tako is gonna be a host for a drawing event. I wonder how well she's going to emcee in a non Hololive environment.
I think this could be quite a big thing for her and could potentially boost her popularity on both her Hololive ina persona and her other actual artist account thing. More commissions, that sort of thing.

Quite interesting having a read on the Drawfest site now. Her own section is on Day 2. There are some really big names/companies involved, feel like she going to pull out some of her best work out of this.

I love how she always joked about Wacom sponsoring her, and this isn't too far off the mark now being invited to an event hosted by them and Pixiv now.

From the site, it seems that Hololive EN is the one sponsoring the event.

Just a little something from the fandom side of things that caught my attention.

Some TakaMori shippers can't handle being exposed to any negative takes about their ship, evidently. And they MUST let everyone know about it, because being told something as moderate as "you need to learn to take the good with the bad" has this individual, at the very least, shaking for real right now and having panic attacks.

Zealot shippers. The cringiest portion of any fandom right after attention whores.

310$ for 31 Superchats containing a poem.
I sometimes question my own sanity and social competence but JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. The fact that some men are so obsessed with women they have never met, even to the point of sending them money instead of sending it to their own mother, makes me believe in witchcraft.
Witchcraft or massive autism.

Reminds me of the guy that sent the Pastebin or whatever it was to Calli containing some rap he wrote and other schizo shit. (Which, I think she even opened and the dude still found a way to bitch and moan about it)

Fans who feel like the streamers owe them something because they sent money their way are the fucking worst. If they do Superchat readings, expect your name to be read and that's it. Anything else is a bonus and that's entirely in the streamer's right. Especially if people try to stir up trans or schizo shit which could genuinely harm the member in question's image.

Edit: Jeez, this thread moves fast. He sent her both an imgur and a pastebin link. https://imgur.com/a/CTCMQjj https://pastebin.com/wZUEn4XQ

She's right though (Verre). If the snowflake can't accept such negativity, then she hasn't been noticing the reaper's attitude/reaction towards it. It really does come off as forced and creepy perversion.
If you don't mind, could you point me in the direction of Calli's more recent reactions to the ship?

Forced and cringe as it may be, Calli and Kiara have hung out IRL, had vacations together, and Kiara is directly referenced in the song Calli debuted with; implying there was probably some history, trust, and/or agreement between them prior to debut that they would have a 'dynamic'.

I'm also willing to pardon Kiara's overexcessive sexual comments about Calli on the basis that EN, ID, and JP viewers seem unable to get enough of the yuribait bullshit, and the JP clippers go HARD with TakaMori. She's just doing what she knows these grass-avoiding autists will eat up and that's kinda the base instinct of what a successful content creator does.

If I was to dare engage with the shipping of real people playing anime characters, I'd outwardly say that I prefer seeing Calli hang out with Gura, as despite their combined awkwardness, there's no real 'threat' of just being blindsided by dodgy sexual humour.

I feel like some of the ID girls, especially Ollie seems to get a pass for Yuri baiting. Ollie is basically the ID version of Kiara in many ways. Loud, Obnoxious, Numberfagging, Going out of her way for JP collabs (early on, similar to Kiara), etc. I personally don't see these as being negative, I wish more of the ID/EN girls were more outspoken to JP members. But what I'm getting at is that I don't see half the shit slung at Kiara also be thrown at Ollie. Obviously, I know it's not mutually exclusive to dislike Kiara and like Ollie, but it is a bit fishy to what extent there is hate towards Kiara specifically, even with the difference in subscribers.

I genuinely think there's a group of people who just inherently dislike Kiara for no real reason (which is fine, just admit it) but try to pigeonhole it into the whole "Oh she's so loud. Oh she's so obnoxious." rhetoric. A much more reasonable reason is just not liking her voice. Because I can at least understand some people not enjoying hearing English spoken in a German or Austrian accent.

I should mention I don't dislike either Kiara or Ollie, but it's just an obvious observation.

EIther 1 of 2 things:
1. They want pity points from a huge content creator
2. They want to see if they can get her to slip up so that they can then have their 2 seconds of Twitter fame after calling everyone to cancel her because she said something they didn't agree with. Get shit on by the fans. Then get a ton of articles written about how the fandom is toxic and hostile. Then Hololive issuing an apology and suspending shark from streaming for a few weeks angering the fans even more.

Something tells me that #2 is more likely.

This^

Because chances are that the HoloEN girls would've probably ended up with 20% of the followers in 1 year than what they have right now at 6 months. The only outlier being Gura who could have probably hit 200-300k.

That sounds like normal Gura just not knowing where the hell to go.
Lol I have noticed that in some of the other games she's played too now that I think about it. Chicks and directions I guess.

It's absolutely Wild that people still don't seem to know that all of this shit is scripted.
From the beginning the chicken and the reaper were designed by proxy to be the Ernie and Bert of Hololive where one is overly enthusiastic and slightly overbearing while the other is edgy and awkward.
This was cooked up by a big Japanese company that absolutely loves its character Dynamics because people eat this crap up.
It's clear that their roommates like each other enough to constantly hang out and go on trips and debatably have the strongest bond of the English girls.
Honest to God, all the complaining about the chicken has become even more annoying than anything she's ever done in her period.

I think a lot of this stems from her roomate‘s experience in Japan and her obsession of trying to become an idol. It’s somewhat understandable she acts this way.
It’s still annoying though lol

They're still fuckin' hot and you have no chance with them.
That’s the big bonus for me. I‘m aware of this but I don’t feel guilty unlike when women interact with me irl.

Mmm. There's a difference in execution, even if they do technically accomplish the same stuff.

During Ollie's debut, she leaned very hard into the idea of being 'one of the fans' who just so happened to get a gig at Hololive. She openly calls herself a simp and says she's simped for multiple Oshi prior to debut. Also, when she yuribaits and flirts, the running gag is that everyone usually finds her as overbearing as she presents herself.

The result is that people probably psychologically consider her screaming and fangirling to be endearing and relatable, and I'm pretty sure she has the self-awareness to know that people find her loudness annoying.

Kiara, on the other hand, specifically hones her loudness unto Calli or talking about Calli. She also outwardly states she has no interest in Holostars, promoting Holostars, or collaborating with them in any capacity, which is a soft spot for many Western fans who really want to see the male branch be brought more into the fold - something Ollie and Calli do and plan to keep doing.

So whilst I respect the notion that one finding Kiara unwatchable should feel the same for Ollie, I also kind of feel that Ollie does it in a context that people find more endearing, forgivable, and not wholly reliant upon the hopes you already like a forced ship.

Though I do indiscriminately roll my eyes at any clips or stream moments where they start flirting with one another - Ollie included - I feel like it's simply TOO MUCH of Kiara's character to be 'one half of TakaMori' that it's very difficult to find her enjoyable.

I mean that's fair enough but I feel like at this point the complaining about her is way more migraine inducing then anything she will ever do.
