You're posting like you're pointing out some kind of contradiction or hypocrisy...... but the inciting incident you think happened is only in your head.

To put it more directly, there just was nothing left of the Takamori situation worth talking about. This Zen thing is new, and, well, no one's really talked extensively about Zen in a hot minute. That being said, and back on topic, Zen always felt like the weak link in Vshojo, what with the TTS and lack notoriety compared to say Nyanners, Melody, or Mousey. I wouldn't be surprised if what is going on with Zen now is entirely due to being told this behind the scenes.

In fairness if you think Vshojo sperging doesn't have 30+ pages racked up in this thread yet you haven't been paying attention.

The people who put a cap on the TakaMori sperging were right to do so, so I feel right to acknowledge that the level of Zen sperging we have reached is equally as retarded.

Also, it wasn't 30 pages. If we are talking all-time pages of the last 2700, then I guarantee there's been more than 2 pages of VShojo sperging as well. No need to be disingenuous.

Point taken, it was a dumb exaggeration, however, i do believe there is a glaring difference between Kiara, who said she won't push TakaMori as much, and people going to the extreme saying its dead or their friendship is ruined, against Zen, who's venting and doing actions that had no input from people, thus, creating drama himself.
Its hard not to see why one would be "encouraged" to stop and the other generate a lot more speculation.

I have a weird experience with PC Gaming, i have been gimping for years with a 970 and never find any issues playing pirated games, but when i try to use legal Steam games i always find tons of issues for no reason whatsoever

I've never been a PC gamer, consoles are just burned into my soul. Though I've considered getting a gt 1030 since it's a single slot that can be powered by the motherboard. My pre-built has two pcie expansion slots, and one is taken by my elgato, and the pre-built didn't have any of those power cables either. It's CPU is good, and that's all I really need it for, but I figure the 1030 wouldn't hurt. Especially since I heard vtuber models use the graphics card too, so if I ever want to do that, I'd need SOMETHING other than integrated graphics.

Also, and this is a bit anecdotal, but as you get older, you also consider yourself a kid at later points in your life. Personally when I say things like "I remember playing DOAX1 back when I was a kid" I'm talking about being 13-14. Being born in 79 would make her 14 or 15 around the time the ps1 became a thing.

Yeah but then you run into the problem of her brothers being too old and busy to play with her like she says and implies. Also, given she says "brothers" plural, its likely we're talking N64 here, as that was the first system to offer 3-4 player local multiplayer. Its those small details she gives that date her at least 5-10 years younger than just what her appearance would imply (for a nippon at least)

I disagree. The sperging very clearly simmered when SteelPlatedHeart mentioned that people would be given an inch and take a mile. Then Zen sperging started almost immediately after and it started again. I just voiced that I was impressed it went from one to the other like that.

Sure, that's reasonable: Kiara mentions it and fans take it the wrong way vs. Zen baiting reactions themselves. It's fine to speculate and look out for things without that speculation becoming as rampant as 'VShojo are working on ejecting Zen and Vei because they are getting in the way of their ability to grow an audience and sell merch in Japan'.

If the game is running some kind of DRM on it like Denuvo or something, it's going to tank your overall PC performance while playing it.

I can understand the desire to simplify gaming to a console, it just makes life easier. But building a PC is super freaking easy to do. I forced myself to learn it after getting jerked around by Dell prebuilts in the early 2000's. And back then, i had to teach myself with a freaking magazine explaining the process. Nowadays, between YouTube, websites like PCPartPicker to make sure everything works correctly, and the 'availability' of computer parts online (normally), building a PC is easier than it's ever been.

Honestly, the baiting aside, the VShoujo talk is important because if its true that Zen might get the boot for the reason of the group changing their image/strategy, that's a big news. Don't forget, VShoujo is currently the second top EN VTuber group, only behind HoloEN. If they really do decide to change things up, it will inevitably affect the whole industry.

And honestly, I really prefer it if they do make some changes to their organization. The market is oversaturated, the only way people can stay at the top is by trying new things. Cover is shown to begin doing just that, the other groups/corps need to follow suit

Except this literally isn't true and VSHOJO have gone on to collaborate with VOMS, Nijisanji, and Hololive afterwards. No one gives of a fuck about what Vei said. Even /r/Hololive was making an attempt to shut it down and I'm pretty sure she said all that before even becoming a member of VSHOJO. Kiara was clearly disappointed that the collab couldn't come to pass even in light of it because having an opinion on how these other corps operate — be they misinformed or not — isn't a crime, and I don't think Hololive were responsible for blocking that collab.

I am saying that anything that may or may not have transpired between VSHOJO and Hololive in light of her comments have already happened behind the scenes, and the outcome is as we see it. VSHOJO as a brand are still permitted to engage and collaborate with Hololive as they have done 3 times. Anyone who could have fired Vei is already completely aware of her comments and has not fired her.

If the result of that debacle was that Vei specifically could not collab with them, then that's her personal responsibility. If any 'bridges' were burned it was her own. She has had no tangible effect on how the companies interact, so it isn't appropriate to consider her viably on the chopping block to be fired over it.
