She's also a slim white girl that's legit pass as model and successful despite all the dirty laundry and shit she crawl through. That's more than enough for dreg of internet social rejected to hate her.
Now correct me if I'm wrong since my memory is a little hazy on Keekihime, but she has talked bad about the idol industry in Japan, her idol group, and got to be an idol by blueballing someone?

That's quite two faced, but then again wasn't she 19 years at the time she did all of this?
Yeah, she talked about the horrible management, daily concert she had to do, overwork, add that stalkers and the fact she had to deal that she is not japanese and she was treated as the outsider, at the end she got fed up and quit (or the group disbanded, indies rarely last), then dabbed into being a cosplayer and that infamous wrestling video, quitted weebism altogether and resigned to be a wagey for the rest of her life... until she somehow entered Hololive

That's why im one of the fews that dont care to much about she numberfagging and the doomposting about her yabs, she went into the real deal and know how shit it is , let her have this

Edit: off topic but im been keeping tabs on the Sonychubas and rarely anyone of the circles have followed them, not even Domo

Ah yes, driving crappy memes into the ground - vTuber fandom 101. It was barely funny when it first started, at this point it has just gotten stupid and annoying. Sadly I think it has driven Ina to barely using her beret outfit, which is sad because it is pretty nice and cute looking on her
Someone fact check me here but doesn't she use the new outfit in all her art streams...which have been an increasingly rare occurrence nowadays so it feels like she doesn't use her outfit much? (though she did do two recently)

I don't think she gives a fuck about forehead jokes tbh.

Even younger, if Wikitubia is anything to go by. They have her down as born in '95 and started the idol gig in 2012. I don't doubt that she said or did some stupid shit at the time, but if she was only 17 at the time, it sounds like she was bright-eyed and naive about the industry and had a harsh wake-up call when reality didn't match expectation.

As long as she learns from her mistake.

Mori just confirmed it, Myth gets new costumes next month. Unless cover fucks it up again lol.
I asked about this a few pages ago and few hours later Callie talked about it. Guess I was not the only one who was thinking about it.

At this point NijiEN is just NepotismEN, lol
Arent almost all of them in Canada?

He's way better at producing V-Tuber stuff than Koe. He gives every individual Holomen hour-long research videos, but also does research/discovery videos of Holostars, Indies, Nijisanji, PC, PRISM, and is good friends with VSHOJO.

All Koe does is do YLYL videos and every time the video will end at the first Miko clip. It's impressive that someone can make reaction videos that eye-rollingly predictable. The clips that Koe watches get vetted by his Discord mods and they know he's only ever really likely to laugh at Hololive because that's all he knows, which is why his reaction vids almost never feature anything else.

I'd say 'he should stick to fighting games' but there's fuck all being released right now.
I like Koe more personality wise since he's not just "angry italian dude". As for the 1 hour features, I like how they have established some sort of pattern as to what clips to watch (english, 3d, random shit, and heartwarming closing clip) but I do feel like most of the clips they pick are either too long, or there are way better clips out there. Nothingbutafan tries to tard wrangle a bit and I wish they had Koe more on as the discussion is better that way. They should probably limit clips to at most 1 minute.

Is nepotism really that bad?
Depends. In this case, the positive side is that you are getting someone who others who already work for you have experience collabing with and they can vouch for them and their ability to be an entertaining streamer. On the negative side is that you probably end up skipping over a handful of creators who might be better.

I don't get why they needed to delay the costumes in the first place. They are VIRTUAL youtubers. They don't have to be in the same room, and the people doing the modeling for the costumes can do it fine from home. What the fuck did covid have to do with the costumes. Seems like an excuse to me. I don't know why they would need an excuse. But it sounds like bullshit. I don't know maybe an artist quit.
Probably has to do with Rigging. It is possible that one of the riggers hasn't finished or might want to fix something with the costume. They want all of the girls to debut their costumes on the same day so they have to make sure is finished before they can schedule. The original announcement back in September they probably only had the model art without the rigging.

But Nepotism/Cronyism also implies that the person SOLELY gets a job position due to who they know and aren't necessarily qualified. I don't think any Niji or Holo is unqualified to be a standalone entertainer.

It's also worth keeping in mind that this thread is, like, one of a small handful of places who knows anything about anything. Discord, YouTube, and Reddit still actively discourage talk of past lives so your average fan does not know that Pomu and Elira used to be friends, or that Kronii and Sana are Ina's friends. It's just us autists. How well they 'hide' it is kind of immaterial given that the parties interested will find out regardless, and the parties uninterested will never know. The average V-Tuber fan doesn't even know Tora existed, never mind his extensive history and friendship circle.
Sometimes it's easy to forget that a vast majority of the people who watch Hololive don't know about roommates or about everyone's previous gig. There are people who don't know who Keeki or KSON are.

Who's getting a Marine PC?

Also noticed that Millie was streaming FFXIV and a few of the others have either mentioned it. On Holo EN, few of the girls have been playing and Callie even mentioned that even though she doesnt care much about MMOs, she is willing to play as long as she gets to do so with the other EN members. With all the talk about NijiEN nepotism and all of that, I also wonder how many of the people there actually knew some of the Holos. Isn't Ina from Canadia-land also?

It's called networking in the adult world. When you are ready to join the workforce, you will realize that it's more about "Who do you know?" 80% vs "Your cabability" 20%.
This is why your first job is pretty hard to get but expecting your 2nd, 3rd, and after will be a smooth sail as you build your network. Even if you have a college degree but people would rather get someone they know in their industry network to fill the position vs open it for greenhorn like yourself.

I am still confused why lolcow had such a hateboner for her even long before hololive? What made her a target?

I wonder if she is cutting back on drinking because she realized after her dance lessons that she wasn't as fit as she though.
I'm also wondering about that as well. Keeki/Kiara always lure these ridiculous level of hateboner by just simply existing. Sure she made lots of mistakes, but those kind of mistakes aren't the one that should have led to these levels of hate.
NijiID isn't failing to attract massive English-speaking audiences because they don't speak English, it's because there's no momentum behind them from English-speaking territories.

Pretty much all of NijiID speak English and the likes of Mika and Hana speak it to a comparable volume as Ollie. It's not really anything to do with the individual talent. It's fallacious to say Ollie would have came into NijiID and started pulling 2K+ viewers and 800K subs solely by virtue of her own efforts. There's a whole lot of factors not considered to suggest such.
Thing is, if you actually watch the NijiID and followed how the Indonesian weebs see VTubers, you would know NijiID is...kind of losing focus on who are their target audience. I mean, if you want to speak momentum, they have the Hana Macchia who also blew up during the same time as Holo did with her Doom clips. And yet NijiID failed to capitalize on that momentum and it amounted to nothing.

This is Taiwan right? At least this seemed normal. There's a case where a Taiwanese school students paraded in, and I swear I'm not kidding, Nazi uniforms. Complete with the swastika and the eagles
speaking of marine, whoever came up with sister marine needs a gold medal (dunno if it was senchou based on some fanart). 3D FUCKING WHEN
The hilarious thing about Sister Marine is that the fanart it originated from is actually a lewd fanart. Let me search that for a bit

She was 17-18, overworked by waking up before sunrise and training, performing, put on a smile to meet with fans, sell merchs, repeated for I think a year. All that in a foreign land and being stalked and targeted for grooming by literally JP schizo pedo. Then ended up getting fired from the group because that pedo threaten to reported her agency for hiring foreign worker (the details are fuzzy but that's the gist of it). During her time in the industry, she legit see some fuck up idol shit, like girls being pressed into doing "favor" for their managers. I'll give her a little break for being a bit disillusioned and salty about the whole experience.

Hell, the interview is still there out in the open, read it and judge for yourself.

Hana Macchia blew up specifically because SodaFunk and Koefficient shilled her out the ass for a period of time, and that's why she - and she alone - is so far ahead of everyone else in terms of subscriber volume.

Saying NijiID members failed to capitalise on that is just wild to me. Did PRISM members fail to capitalise on Shiki Miyoshino suddenly going viral? No. Shiki just had that extra bit of luck that no one could really account for and the rest are more inline with expectations.

If the people behind Ollie and Mika ended up in each others' shoes, the person behind Ollie would still be much more successful with gathering a large ID/EN fanbase because the huge EN fanbase was already there for HoloID. On top of that, ID Gen 2 came at the apex of HoloMyth hype, where EOPs were hungry for as many EN-speaking Holos as ever. It's comparing apples to oranges. It isn't a coincidence that the ID2 member who alienated the EOPs the most has by far the least viewers.

Most people in my circles got into Hana's content from all the clips of her shitposting father being recommended left and right by youtube.
Nobody gives a fuck about those two shills directly, but it's possible their shilling is what made youtube's algos recommend those clips so hard to everyone.
