Mori just confirmed it, Myth gets new costumes next month. Unless cover fucks it up again lol.
I asked about this a few pages ago and few hours later Callie talked about it. Guess I was not the only one who was thinking about it.
At this point NijiEN is just NepotismEN, lol
Arent almost all of them in Canada?
He's way better at producing V-Tuber stuff than Koe. He gives every individual Holomen hour-long research videos, but also does research/discovery videos of Holostars, Indies, Nijisanji, PC, PRISM, and is good friends with VSHOJO.
All Koe does is do YLYL videos and every time the video will end at the first Miko clip. It's impressive that someone can make reaction videos that eye-rollingly predictable. The clips that Koe watches get vetted by his Discord mods and they know he's only ever really likely to laugh at Hololive because that's all he knows, which is why his reaction vids almost never feature anything else.
I'd say 'he should stick to fighting games' but there's fuck all being released right now.
I like Koe more personality wise since he's not just "angry italian dude". As for the 1 hour features, I like how they have established some sort of pattern as to what clips to watch (english, 3d, random shit, and heartwarming closing clip) but I do feel like most of the clips they pick are either too long, or there are way better clips out there. Nothingbutafan tries to tard wrangle a bit and I wish they had Koe more on as the discussion is better that way. They should probably limit clips to at most 1 minute.
Is nepotism really that bad?
Depends. In this case, the positive side is that you are getting someone who others who already work for you have experience collabing with and they can vouch for them and their ability to be an entertaining streamer. On the negative side is that you probably end up skipping over a handful of creators who might be better.
I don't get why they needed to delay the costumes in the first place. They are VIRTUAL youtubers. They don't have to be in the same room, and the people doing the modeling for the costumes can do it fine from home. What the fuck did covid have to do with the costumes. Seems like an excuse to me. I don't know why they would need an excuse. But it sounds like bullshit. I don't know maybe an artist quit.
Probably has to do with Rigging. It is possible that one of the riggers hasn't finished or might want to fix something with the costume. They want all of the girls to debut their costumes on the same day so they have to make sure is finished before they can schedule. The original announcement back in September they probably only had the model art without the rigging.
But Nepotism/Cronyism also implies that the person SOLELY gets a job position due to who they know and aren't necessarily qualified. I don't think any Niji or Holo is unqualified to be a standalone entertainer.
It's also worth keeping in mind that this thread is, like, one of a small handful of places who knows anything about anything. Discord, YouTube, and Reddit still actively discourage talk of past lives so your average fan does not know that Pomu and Elira used to be friends, or that Kronii and Sana are Ina's friends. It's just us autists. How well they 'hide' it is kind of immaterial given that the parties interested will find out regardless, and the parties uninterested will never know. The average V-Tuber fan doesn't even know Tora existed, never mind his extensive history and friendship circle.
Sometimes it's easy to forget that a vast majority of the people who watch Hololive don't know about roommates or about everyone's previous gig. There are people who don't know who Keeki or KSON are.

Who's getting a Marine PC?
Also noticed that Millie was streaming FFXIV and a few of the others have either mentioned it. On Holo EN, few of the girls have been playing and Callie even mentioned that even though she doesnt care much about MMOs, she is willing to play as long as she gets to do so with the other EN members. With all the talk about NijiEN nepotism and all of that, I also wonder how many of the people there actually knew some of the Holos. Isn't Ina from Canadia-land also?
