The new designs are interesting. I'm curious, has any one of the hololive girls gone through an actual redesign? I know they change costumes, but I mean the whole model. (This is all to say that still feel bad for Irys.)

I wonder if there will ever be an attempt to make them a bit more homogeneous.

They don't really scream chinese, I think it's just like Luna's case with Flare liking her new outfit more. I didn't even notice that before you guys pointed out lol!

Yeah, it was fairly obvious Flare greatly disliked her first outfit, and it was definitely a large contributing factor to how she lagged behind her gen mates in subscribers due to how weird and out of place it looked. I remember a lot of people shitting on it pretty regularly back in the day. I wouldn't expect to see her ever use her original 2d outfit ever again.

I wonder if this is going to be JPs equivalent of The Council…..lore and all.

I doubt it, EN management is given a lot of autonomy over how the branch is run and members have implied in the past that the lore stuff is mostly their doing, no JP gen has ever really bothered with anything like it in the past.

And speaking of, since I saw people mention it earlier in the thread, the insane debut relay format EN does is also something unique to their management as well. JP have always stuck to one a night (sometimes with days or even a week or so between debuts).

So I have 2 questions:

1. Why is a few people here and a few anons on /vt/ keep referring to Koyori as Hololive Nyanners? Did I miss something on the debut trailer? Is any Vtuber that has pink hair and Neko ears are instantly compared to Nyanners? Not that I'm defending Nyanners at all but I'm confused. Or is this a joke and it went over my head like an exceptional individual I am...

2. To those who were disappointed that the Nux/Vshojo drama "ended" anticlimactic or not as it should've ended. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS EXPECT! I thought the writing on the walls was somewhat obvious for how this drama was going to "end". And besides, I have a feeling is this just one controversy and it won't be the last type of feel. But unless they "actually" learn from this mistake; they could be more controversies in the future that either result in a minor hit to their reputation or result in one or more members reputations ruined and them leaving.

Also, I'm starting to have a weird case of Deja vu. Like this whole drama has happened before in a different community but I can't put my finger on who, when, where, or which community but this all feels familiar in a way.

Sidenote: I saw one anon on /vt/ saying all of HoloX were following all of Holostars and I thought he was bullshitting. But it turns out, he was right all of HoloX are following all the remaining Holostars including their manager. But strangely their also follow Kira and also following Coco despite both being graduated.

Yeah, that sprung to mind for me too. Theoretically if they were operating based on the concept of 'privilege', then SEA should be good enough because the vast majority of them are far less affluent than POC Americans on average. I know some of the Indo girls come from rich backgrounds but in the game of 'representation' that shouldn't matter because they represent millions of people who don't.

Should go without saying that I don't really see much validity in the aforementioned concepts, just a thought exercise.

Other than that, I really like every girl's design, Chloe's definitely my favorite so far. I also like the mafia/secret society theme; I think it's a bit different compared to the rest of the girls and I feel the style and theme don't quite fit into the rest of the generations, probably nothing though.
