She is Japanese-born to Chinese immigrants. Also, believe it or not, Enna actually has the highest viewer:subscriber ratio in the branch right now. A lot of her gaming streams have been doing Elira/Pomu numbers with less than half the subs.

The list provided is maybe a couple of days outdated as, according to Playboard, Millie would now be in the Top 60.

Ethyria numbers (Debut: Oct 2021):
Millie Parfait - 121K subs - $65,884
Nina Kosaka - 146K subs - $48,462
Enna Alouette - 101K subs - $35,529
Reimu Endou - 94K subs - $29,897

Worthy of note that NijiEN typically have Streamlabs active until they're granted YT monetisation, so everyone is higher than what's displayed here to an unknown degree. Millie quietly pulling mid-low Council/High HoloID numbers in a little over 2 months is quite striking. In general, all of them are doing really well despite having basically zero foothold on the EN market when LazuLight came out.
You can't keep saying Niji has zero foothold in the market when they have more than 600k subs combined. That's just being disingenious at this point

I specifically said when LazuLight debuted, which is true. What I'm saying is that where they are now is amazing given what they started with in May. No doubt they've firmly established themselves as their own entity now, and have carved out their own core audience.

Oh yes, they definitely struggled at the start. Greatest rags to richest story I have ever heard in my life.

Two things it's worth remembering when it comes to the superchats numbers. First, cut the number in half before thinking about their pre-tax take home. YouTube takes a 30% cut and I believe it's been mentioned that Hololive takes a 30% cut after that.

Additionally, superchats are one of many revenue streams they have. They also get ad revenue, memberships, sponsor deals, and the Hololive salary. We just have the most concrete data for superchats.

Don't forget that Niji also gives 100% of profits for their merch to the talents so technically Pomu beats Rushia in over-all earnings

About having zero foothold in EN market? When HoloMyth got an overwhelming success on debut, there was a big expectation that Nijisanji would follow up with their own INEN branch so claiming for them to have zero foothold is, as Bear said, disingenuous. That's like saying VShoujo had zero foothold in EN market when they first announced their group which is bullshit.

Look man, I know that you still looking through Niji-tinted glasses so much that it is practically glued to your face but come on. Their growth is amazing throughout the months? Sure, glad to see that they are still growing as a nice success story. But you really don't need make them sound like they are complete unknown underdogs that just penetrated the EN market with handicaps back then when they are under Nijisanji brand. You know, the brand that causes plenty of NijiEN to graduate their former Vtuber personas to join.

Well, to be fair, @Scuttle is not wrong here. Everything you both are talking about is opportunity and resources (of which Nijisanji has the latter in bulk). What they did not have is a good foothold (or any of you do not count Hana Machia like I do). Foothold would require presence in that market, and as they didn’t have presence before Lazulight officially. No, they didn’t have a foothold.

Also, it is important to note that they were notoriously late to the party. People here, in fact the usual ENLs that have aneurysms over the mention of Nijis, repeatedly talked about how Nijisanji wouldn’t be able to keep up because Hololive cornered that market. It wasn’t true but it was a take at the time.

That said I don’t believe that the lack of a foothold was that much of a handicap, but that is because I never believed Hololive “cornered the market” in such a way to close it to new entry.

Basically this.

I'm under no illusion that NijiEN utilised the might of AnyColor to be aggressive, but we've also seen with Sony's 'Verse-m' that this alone isn't enough. I did not claim it was a 'Rags to Riches' but I will absolutely maintain that they had less going for them at the time of their debut.

LOL nijifag always in denial now even more some that supporting something that is wrong,"did not have a good foothold" NO,they did have a good foothold, already saturated the market(if u talk about vtuber, either kizuna ai and friends then the other one is the gigantic nijisanji),holo "brand" is nothing compared to niji from start, whats more niji have their "overseas branch" more than HOLO,CN,ID,IN(aka the real NIJI EN that got thrown out of the window by niji),but only EN that they are late, super late to the game, but EN is not just NA,EN is basically global youtube as a whole thats why its a huge deal.incompetence, lack of ability to make a decision, taking the opportunity is not an excuse, niji have only themself to blame.

then how come this "niche idol vtuber that vtuber fans all hated from start" holo can make it? simple, the complete opposite, holo saw the opportunity, understand what they need to do,and go for it,and what make it better they dont half assed about it,china their biggest money making, they leave it and take the risk with EN,their approach is also on point(focus only with 1 gen,so that the entire fanbase will invest their time fully to that 1 gen at time),their success is because of their own work,if u have shit/incompetent management,no way u can make this happened.
niji didnt have foothold? lol NIJI EN already exist before HOLO EN,but they are a complete failure that not only the fan but niji themself try to ignore it and its not even their vtuber fault, simply niji is incompetent of promoting their vtuber.
oh btw how is billionaire corpo sony vtuber group doing
not that hot, same like niji with MOST of their vtuber,if ppl like to numberfag comparing about "sub isnt same with viewer blablabla" then how about total niji vtuber compared to the percentage that actually successful??

So if you go to the hololive production site's schedule page and look at the upcoming Korone and Miko stream at the bottom of the page, every individual section of the stream has it's own link, (presumably to be given timestamps later?) and it seems like two of the sections are EN collabs, at least judging by the thumbnails?

What the dog doin. I mean whats this Korone stream about?
As @Fourth # has mentioned a few pages back, but don't think no one really saw it, that your going to see Miko and Korone lovely faces for 24 hours straight. It will be done I believe like the following, first 12 hours on Korone channel and then the next 12 on Miko channel. They have various games/topic that last about 1-2 hours each and have planned LOTS for us plebs to entertain us.

If you look at the Official Hololive schedule page you can see when the planned bits are going to happen (the time zone thing on the left is really quite handy). Their is a few I'm personally looking towards myself:

- 1st (Mikkro News) Could be a good laugh, no idea yet, I wonder what kind of style they will go with and what news they even going to tell us
- 2nd (English Japanese) This is the main one, you got Ame, Kronii, Gura, Miko which is all not very good at Jap. I expect this to be so funny, Kronii Jap is really something to behold.
- 3rd (100 hololive) Not honestly too sure what this one is, but there are EN and ID members, so we shall see
- 4th (Korone & Miko 3D Live) What not to love with 3D lives now, I'm fairly certain this is pre-recorded as there no way they do it after being up for 24 hours surely

>they had less going for them
>BIGGEST VTUBER COMPANY IN JAPAN
>had $5 million investment from Sony Music the previous year; quite possibly the Vtuber focused company with the current highest investments
>aggressive advertising from their management to the point they ACTIVELY advertise to their competitors
HOW COULD HAVE THE NIJIEN GIRLS SURVIVED OFF OF THAT!!! THEY HAD PRACTICALLY NOTHING TO START WITH!!

And yes, sure, branding itself is not the end all be all but using Sony as an example is kinda stupid considering they had nothing to do with Vtubers outside of Nijisanji Music. It's like telling me Chick-Fil-A making their own Automobiles is going to do well because of their branding.

Will have to catch VODs/clips for these. The 2nd segment you've highlighted looks like Telephone. Fitting revenge for all the English Telephone torture the JPs have endured.

Sony has a divisions/subsidiaries dedicated to entertainment, obviously vtubing is a new niche but they already dipped their feet in the yt content industry with other youtubers and events, your chick fil a automotive comparison doesnt make sense.
Obviously NIJIEN is not a rag to riches story, but money can't really buy success (much less continued growth) and niji is notorious for being less involved in promoting their talents compared to cover. Thats why for lots of people here their success wasnt taken for granted.
