Jesus they had them a long time then. Considering Kiara birthday was the 6th of July, that's nearly a half a year. Honestly I would be pretty pissed if I was them, knowing the only thing that stopped me from having my 3D the last half year is the cough. It makes the 1st smol anniversary 3D collab extra bittersweet as they COULD have used their actual 3D models if this was in a perfect world without the cough.

I could have sworn one of the Hololive talents mentioned that Nintendo only gave them BDSP permissions until the end of January or something, which probably contributed to the fact that everyone and their mother was playing it on stream all December. But I can't find any reference to that now, did I dream it?

You are missing the large amount of money pored into marketing that niji can do.

The thing is they are being compared not to 1 talent but to like 60. And it's clearly possible cause kuzuha did it. They aren't taking silver they are getting 40th place in the qualifiers .

Fubuki's primary contribution to Hololive being a big success in the English speaking word is some cover of Scatman or whatever, and Miko saying a slur habing no idea what it means is approximately similar in impact.

Coco has a lot of experience in the Western world to be that actual bridge, which then spawned a ton of clippers that added to the momentum of it.

Before Hololive reached high success, Tokino Sora herself had less success than Dennou Shojo Siro, and even today isn't among the more popular Hololive members in spite of high recognition.

Meanwhile, the Hololive brand alone somehow got people all over Mano Aloe who barely even got to do anything before quitting, Ayame is Ayame and retains her numbers regardless, and now it's lost its overseas thunder enough for people in here to keep bringing up Tsukumo Sana not recovering after bailing for like a month because of her dog not long after debut.

Then we have holoX printing money with far less time to do their thing than anyone else in the company. Is that because most of the other Holo talents can't shape up compared to them? It's obviously just because a hype train gave them enough to keep growing.
