General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Her reaction stream to Koyori's ASMR was pretty cursed but that was a few weeks ago (before monetisation I think). Something like this shouldn't ban you retroactively or does it?
I'm not one of the dinosaurs in charge at YT but this doesn't look that bad at all. None of her thumbnails seem to be in any way racy, either.

You CAN create content that breaks YouTube's Monetisation Policy without that video being flagged or taken down etc so it's possible any part of her streams have raised a flag. Of course, at that point you have to ask how the fuck she is the first to accomplish that whilst also being held to the same restrictions as hundreds of corporate V-Tubers, which is why I'm leaning towards it being some sort of mistake.

She confirmed the drama rrats by titling it "Eating bugs and making up". So there was some level of fallout between the two back when Matsuri had her birthday live afterall.
I see it as a performative stream. Whatever conflict they had from last year is probably resolved in the background long ago, but the rrat already spread around and integrated as part of the "lore". So instead of waiting for awkward SC or comments when they do collab, why not make it "the content" of the stream itself? You sure bet the viewer ship from this stream will be huge. People love drama, and this is the end of Haachama v. Matsuri arc.

Have to say I found Haachama really impressive in the last few week. From talking about Coco incident, follow Kson, and now address a drama directly - something not really done often in JP entertainment business. Truly the strongest idol and follow no mortal rules.

I can't remember who suggested her in this thread but Machita Chima is gold, thank you

She did a singing stream earlier today and it was top-notch.

At this point I'm just multiplying their viewers by 2.5. But I do hope Cover is in touch with YouTube about this bullshittery. Just look at the current Botan, Subaru, and Suisei numbers.

Do I think it has an effect on their revenue? Yes and no, I don't think it has an influence on how much their earn (if it truly is AdBlock users, which is still unconfirmed because fuck YouTube's lack of transparency). But I'm sure it does influence their streams popping up on people's YouTube Homepages and recommended videos while the stream is live. Once it's over the numbers seem to normalize after a bit. But I have a hard time believing Luna's Anniversary only has 20k total viewers after it's over, but we'll see if those numbers become more realistic in a few hours.

As unrealistic as it is, at this point I wish they would just gradually move over to some proprietary streaming server and use the 30% of YouTube's cut to incentivize people by giving viewers benefits to move over. But again, the chances of that are non-existent. Servers would be an issue for ID and EN members, you would have a hard time cross-advertising and getting new members unless they also continue to stream on YouTube amongst a plethora of other issues.

Long story short fuck YouTube and the horse it rode in on. Hololive is literally responsible for 8 of the top 10 Superchatted channels of all time, and they continuously treat them like garbage.
2.5 is too high. My rough estimate based on a Pippa stream/poll was that 40% of total viewers were getting cut out. So a little less than half the views are not showing up. You would probably loose out on a ton of viewers though. Youtube has a huge pool of viewers that can randomly pop in and out. Also makes it possible to be randomly discovered by some random person. When it comes to revenue I don't think the girls would lose too much since the whales will probably move over but the general public won't. (Look at the whole Ninja/Mixer thing and Mixer was a better streaming service than Twitch)

Yeah, Youtube CCV is fucked right now but everything else (VOD, SCs, and even Poll numbers lol) are correct although you do get bullshit like 2k viewers but 5k Poll answers in 1 minute

But at the end of the day, cope, seethe and dilate, VShojo are now the Queens on ENVtubers

Nice bait bro

This is literally affecting all streamers on YouTube, it's just not as noticeable. Yes, this is not something that should be happening, but it's also not a direct attack on Hololive or 'treating them like garbage' unless the wish is for them to be given special treatment.

Whatever possessed Susan to start vetting subscribers and viewcounts based on arbitrary garbage needs to be addressed, though. Unsubscribing people from accounts because you don't meet the criteria to be considered a real person by the algorithm is some horrifying dystopian bullshit.
I think it has to do with Susan wanting to be "transparent" with the advertisers (the people that really matter to her). Instead of youtube showing a real number count (total viewers) and a hidden number count only accessible to advertisers (viewers without adblock) they are just being lazy fucks and showing the smaller number.

The stinky orca claims her room is messier than the pig sty where Noel used to sleep. She should just sell flasks of rank air from her room at this point.
Damn. She seems like a filthy NEET.

Bea is interviewing a cross dressing maid from a cafe? Haven't seen this from a vtuber (or anyone else)
Fucking hell. He's better looking than most women I know.

So apparently Gura has bottom teeth in the Ochame Kinou MV. Some of the comments were suggesting it as possible "proof" that a 2.0 update for their models is about come out, that or she has always had bottom teeth but is rigged in a way that they don't show during natural movement and only the scripted movement of the MV showed them.

I think Rosemi from Malaysia. But now I realized that the time on her stream doesn't fit the Malaysian time zone.

Indonesia? Thailand, Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia?

Rosemi is in North America, most likely the United States. The time is Eastern Standard, she just has a weird way of displaying it on screen (0:59pm instead of 12:59pm).

I thought she was assumed Canadian thanks to the Pogos = Corndog thing from her as well as the french fluency.

Yeah it's one or the other.

When Ange asked her where she's from she said 'America', and she has the USA flag during MK8 streams. But as you said she also talked about Pogos which is apparently a Montréal thing and said that she was speaking French since she was young.

Given that her parents live close by to her, it's not unreasonable to assume she's Canada-born and they all moved to the USA at some point. She's never actually answered where she's from, only where she currently is. Or it's all OpSec and she's pretending to be in the USA so us autists are kept guessing.

A lot of people do say that she's in Canada because of the pogos line.

My own personal belief is that she's in the US, as most of the evidence we have points towards that. The most obvious bit being that Katrina Ange straight-up asked Rosemi where she lives, and she replied with "America." She could have meant Canada, since Canada is in North America, but I don't know of any Canadians who reply to "where do you live?" by saying America based on that technicality.

Her Nintendo account uses an American flag. Additionally, back when she did her Rosemi game show, she created a series of polls for the stream using a third party site. That site mentions the location of the person who created the polls, and stated that they were created by a user in the United States. It's also worth mentioning that in her PL as Miki she described herself as being of Japanese and French - not Canadian/Quebecois - parentage.

So basically, Rosemi is either in the US, or she is in Canada and is purposely hiding that fact by changing her Nintendo account location, using a VPN when making polls, being vague towards Ange, etc. Either is perfectly possible, but given how the confirmed Canadians in NijiEN - Elira, Millie, Enna, Nina - have no trouble admitting that they are from Canada, I suspect that Rosemi isn't in Canada at the moment. My guess is that she was perhaps brought up in Canada, at least partially, but now lives in the US. She has mentioned that her family has moved around a lot for work - she even spent a bit of time in England in the past - so this isn't a hard thing to imagine.
