My take on the whole Holo bass drama: absolutely no one questioned Cover in this whole ordeal.

This shit was a mess in the copyright grey area that could only have been solved if Cover adequately responded. The result would have been a lot more amazing content from this creator. Hate him or not, he was making great content and we would have gotten a few more bangers out of him (yes, even if Cover gave him a ''no'', he just wanted an answer but got nothing).

But alas haters will hate, this is the internet after all, everyone wants to throw their stone.

Cover made a great product but is still in it's infant stages of being a company and that sucks. I wish they would adapt faster, we could have so many great things.

I'll agree he was making great content, but he obviously cared more about the fanbase and money it was bringing him after Pop on Rocks blew up, then the company and talent that even inspired the song. So he should've re-tooled his brand and focused on work independently inspired by Hololive. There wasn't much to question on Cover and people even said, they could've communicated, but they have no need to. You can't monetize their shit and the fan work based off their IP they can use freely. You agree to this whether you consent to it or not, when you make derivative work. I agree Cover should've given him an answer, but Cover has no reason to and that's not how it happens in Japan and they're not in the wrong here legally.

He could've just as easily not sperged out about it and there wouldn't be a situation to solve. The damning thing he did was not try to profit off Hololive, the damning action by him was to sperg about it on Twitter and act like he could threaten Amelia and therefore Cover and that evaporated any goodwill he enjoyed with the community and so he should leave and did. no matter who or what he was, why he did anything, he has no good will left and is just a grifter. To quote Vince McMahon, "Breat Hart screws Bret Hart". And I'm not wrong here, I'm just an asshole.

Really, for all that Cover gave him, yet the one thing they didn't give him warrants such a display? When no one really wanted to hear him in the first place? Everyone was having a good time, who cares what his grievances were, he already aired them more times than needed judging by someone's earlier comment of even Reddit tiring of him.

Edit: Iunno, I just had a lot to say about it. Did not mean to make it as big as I did.

the only thing i can see is, rather than realizing he has a momentum/talent in that area and start to keep producing more and more content to keep himself blow up as a talented artist, he keep relying on that one single hit song that made him known. its like TayZonday that only be known as "Chocolate Rain guy".

is he a full time content creator? or is it just side gig? if so it's entertaiment industry, he should have known bettter. you gotta keep producing content to keep yourself relevant since many people always try to produce different thing everyday. that also the illness many content creator have to feel burnout so quickly.

on side of that, since Holo gen 0 (esp with those who stream in their 3D) start getting enchancement with hand movement, do you think it start to rolling out to the other gen and they start using 3D instead live2d?

Home3D is still a pretty large investment for the talents, at least according to Coco. Which they have to pay out of pocket for. Which is why not everyone has it. Since Sora and Miko started being able to move their arms though, I've seen Coco use her 3D more often. I'm guessing that's her way of telling Cover to also implement it for them. I'm sure it's in the pipelines though.

Tbh the whole Holobass stuff is just overblown. If Cover really hates this guy guts then they'll target every works Holobass has done on the entire internet, and I will understand his level out outburst.

It's just Cover pushing their no monetization on fanarts policy, and inconsistent at that too (though it's more because his Ina song to "Ina" isn't as blatantly connected as Pop on Rocks to Amelia). No hate to Holobass guy, but he should've calm down a little.

She doesn't go immediately into the new outfit, but instead takes the time to go over all of her old one, mostly talks about the parts she likes and the parts she thinks her audiences would be into. It might be unconventional for those who want to see the new outfit right away, I'm impartial to either way. It a good reminder for those who had been long time viewers and help build the mood I suppose.

The twintails, ribbons and zettai ryouiki are just typical character elements. Her default outfit used to have a somewhat interesting contrast to Asuka Hina but you know what happened. The gown is simple and beautiful. Not much to say about that.

Starting with the maid outfit, you can see the gradual change in design philosophy since current technology allows for the mixes and matches approach, and newer outfits seems more crowded as a result. The glasses and the tail is her favorite part. And she said nyaa when she uses it. I guess this is a part of why I like Rion so much. She plays her character well.

Her halloween costume reminded everyone that Soul Reap is still a thing. I have to check her official character page for its name. I guess it doesn't feel as obstructive as it originally is because her gigantic hat also takes up most of the screen. Not my favorite outfit. Also it get rid of her breathing animation. Don't ask why I know.

Previous outfits doesn't stray too far from her original character concept, maids are magical too, shut up the next one takes it into a different directions. Of course I'm talking about DJ TAKAMIY. Why isn't she in project Denonbu? It even comes with a neon version. The glasses and even the screen on her shoe can emotes, unfortunately she doesn't utilize them much. Compares to Polka who changes her pupils symbol frequently for instance.

Close up. The half twin tails really has a more fluffy feeling compares to the usual sharp looks. Also, that earring hit the spot. You can't have a gal without piercing. Whoever designed this knows what they're doing by revealed only one side too.

The magical items bag decorated with the soul reap strap is a nice touch, though I imagined it confused the hell out of viewers who doesn't know her magical backstory. The chibi stickers were cute, and I like how the books has a lot of annotations. Is she the studious gal archetype? While we're there, the larger and brightly colored ribbon really demanded a lot of attention. It's wore lower and looser than her original prim and proper white ribbon. Subtle characterization.

Full body shot. The white cardigan seems basic at first glance, but it provides a nice contrast with the red skirt. The zettai ryouiki got nerfed, but shortened skirt and socks are another gal archetype. And it honestly looks really good on her, all thing considered.

Generous enough to provide a close up shot of the skirt too. The checkered pattern and over sleeves are charming without being overly in your face. I'm on the fence about the emblem on her socks. What kind of school does that. Also, blink and you missed it, but she's wearing pink nails. Cute.

Some guy in the comment said "please bully me". Looks at how happy she is calling him disgusting, She also said that there's summer version of gal Takamiya, but wouldn't show it because the viewer would get more sick (in the head). Someone please confirm the validity of this claim.

Screenshot at gachikoi distance has now become a staple of outfit reveal and I'm glad for it. Seeing it close up really shows how natural her expression and eyes movements are. Kudos to whoever did the face tracking. Also, her model naturally leans right so she had some difficulties turning her head the other way. It's fucking hilarious to see her tries so hard just to turn left for screenshot.

From now on is the Otaku x Gal love comedy you've been waiting for. It's a must see if you're a fan of the gyaru character. Go check out the archive for the full version. This segment is so great it actually makes me want to learn video editing to spread her glory to those barbaric tribe who still using uncivilized languages such as English.

Still no idea why she deleted her pseudo VN videos from a few years ago. They were pretty decent for what they were. Originally she was supposed to be a very different character.


There was also a short-lived trend of Pseudo VN videos for New Vtubers to introduce themselves around that time.
