My condolences to Suisei, but this is as usual COVER's fault for not mandating regular backups of critical data both on-site with the talents and at the office; most of the talents are tech illiterate beyond their job requirements and should have been instructed by whoever the IT tech for COVER is.

That being said if that hideous orange-leggings outfit is lost forever I won't be too heartbroken.

Ah, the usual "Cover did everything wrong" because despite all of the talent being an adult, they need hand-holding for everything they do. They should be told not to stream after midnight and go to toilet before bed too.
And the legging grow on you after a while. Help that you don't see it ever beside in fanart.

Nah. They're all responsible for themselves. Suisei's old models are from when she was an Indie and I doubt Cover are going to back those up for her. I also doubt Cover have the capacity to save every project they're all doing as they're happening just in case stuff goes wrong.

It's her PERSONAL computer with her PERSONAL contents that got deleted. It's not their problem. If Cover themselves announced that they lost half of the characters' outfits and L2D's and upcoming events then yeah, but this is Suisei being a retard.

the issue is good luck explaining to a normie who doesn't grasp the importance of backups how to deal with internet storage. it's easier to explain to just buy external drives then copy that shit, it's simpler for them to understand from a physical standpoint alone ("it's like creating a paper copy"). also less error prone because even if they set up an account and all that shit is seamlessly integrated into explorer (fuck off microsoft) you can pretty much guarantee they'll loose the account information at some point, usually exactly after their machine gets wrecked ("I saved it in the login form, what do you mean I should've written it down?"). it's another point of failure, even if you have 99% availability murphy's law stipulates the 1% it's offline or you don't have internet service is the moment you'll need it the most.

I don't expect everyone who only uses a computer for work or games to know how shit really works, same way most people who drive cars can't service them either. worse, thinking "digitally" is more abstract than "pour fluid in there" or "something's stuck in something".
it works out alright if you explain it to them it's like writing several post-its for the same thing, and you put some of them where you can still read them even if your house burns down.

She's good at making builds(after all, she built the treehouse hotel and YAGOO pixel art, the best pixel art until Coco made that giant Sad YAGOO).

That said, I think I prefer to watch timelapse for this project of hers which is impossible wish. So I guess I just gonna wait for any Holomems to tour the place. Who knows when will it be finished.

Also getting some nostalgic trip with her using the old stiff L2D 1.0.
