I don't play genshi(t), but as far as i've read you can't just "buy the best shit" outright. You buy spins, and get the chance to get stuff. I.E. Gambling. It's partially regulated so after X number of failed pulls you have a 100% chance to win. The real question is why are these people spending so much money on a single player game, especially one that will never actually get difficult enough to require pulling 5-stars to win. And the answer is because these people are all filthy rich and we are self-owning ourselves by watching rich people flex on us.

I’ve been a Genshin fag for a while and this fandom has always pissed me off. Non of these characters have a confirmed sexualities so who cares. I really could give less of a shit what other people headcanon but so many genshin fans act like their headcanon is the only headcanon. These fuckers think THEYRE mihoyo.

Also, genshin is not a great game. The only thing I personally enjoy about it is the characters and the over arching story, it clearly has some care put into it. But I stopped playing after a while because it straight up feels like a chore. If you don’t play everyday for at least a few hours then you’ll be incredibly behind, not to mention you’ll be missing out on primogems to get characters. I’ve gotten to the point where I only watch the story quests because I’m so far behind for having the audacity to have a life.

I think a fan base that's just as radioactive is the Snowbreak fans. I have never played it and my only knowledge of it is the amount of stupid but hilarious drama it creates because Chinese gacha fans are evidently super degenerate and the devs course corrected super hard.

It's like how natlan isn't africa but a fictional country that takes names and inspirations from several african and meso/south american countries. Much like Sumeru it's supposed to be a multi-cultural nation but even moreso because sumeru used to be literally two (technically 3) different nations under one country before the desert region guys fucking collapsed. With natlan you see people of clearly different ethnicities from eachof the 6 tribes done in a way that's a lot more natural feeling than like the last 10 years of companies trying to turn fantasy settings into fucking LA. I already said Natlan's plotline reminded me of BIONICLE either in this thread or the actual game's thread, but I alsonoticed other shit It's like. Natlan's ethnic makeup is literally just how people (mainly kids/teens cause I'm going off memory of when this was all new) used to depict humanized BIONICLE characters. Just random fucking skin tones/ethnicities kinda vaguely based on different cultures that used masks they learned about in world history class. It was weirdly common and got laughed at by people but like not in the same way that SJW art "fix" multi ethnicities are laughed at.

Considering the mihoyo guys were kids/teens during Bionicle's run probably and the global impact it had there might actually be a connection there. Also makes me regret never getting in any position to make something that just pulls from/tributes shit I love from back then due to shit partly beyond my control but that is another story entirely! The Game's already been pre-established to be based off/heavy inspired by Zelda games and people have noticed other inspirations it'd be really funny if Natlan was unironically pulling from Bionicle there in more ways than one.

They already have the multiple tribes each facing hardships, they're each located in their own area of the nation, and the tribes are based around plantlife, water, rocks, etc. All they'd need is masks and a stand-in for the Makuta and the resemblance would be complete.

They kind of had something akin tothe first year of bionicle with the swirling abyss monstrosity that showed up (kind of like how makuta turned into a massive swirling mass of lego parts and what he did before that) and started planting mass death/corruption seeds in all 6 tribes, (like how makuta indirectly wrecked all 6 tribes shit in bionicle at the start) and the abyss in general seems to be pulling a kind of "makuta" with how the ley lines and the wayob are all fucked up/borderline comatose and slightly corrupted/being eaten away at. The ancient names seem to work kind of similar to the way the metru nui toa were a mantle passed down-ways to the toa metru but that'sa bit after the first 3 years of bionicle they seem to kind of possibly be pulling from.
But yeah so far no true "makuta-esque character" has shown up yet as far as I'm aware for this nation's plotline. You could call the guy that was secretly working with the fatui kinda akhmou-esque but the fatui are once again technically on the "good" side again this time like in fontaine.

EDIT: One of the big main similarities both a friend and I noticed was that the fire arena city looks just like the fucking kohli stadium from mask of light.
Also the area the sacred flame is in literally just looks like this but with more chairs.
