I expect nothing. HL:A was not even announced on the TGA and was disrespected at TGA2020. Is there really any chance in fucking 2025 at all?

This video covers pretty much everything you'd wanna know for that. it's still unfinished and there's a little jank. but you can play through it just fine, most of the VR mechanics have been translated over well. that being said it's a game designed for VR, playing it tradtionally is going to make the game feel a bit whack.

Yeah, I played through the first few minutes at a friend's house and it obviously won't have the same impact. But the alternative would be not playing it at all I guess.
 
Geoff tries to drink out of a can, some guy jumps out of the crowd onto the stage and knocks it out of his hand and runs off while a squad of dudes dressed as metrocops show up and chase after him.

Its completely different and without VR its just a mediocre game. You could probably find a used headset for 100 bucks or less, then sell it again once you are done

OG vives are dirt cheap now, so are Rift S or OG rifts, or even Quest 2s, but you have to deal with streaming with a quest

If you do get a headset you can also play all the mods for alyx, the hl2 VR mods, boneworks (I think it's overrated but it's like half life), skyrim VR with mods, blade and sorcery with mods. Its obviously not many games but for how cheap used headsets are now its probably worth the entry fee

i used to think the same but quest 2 is just way too comfortable despite dogshit lenses and not that great tracking

Vive with the deluxe audio strap was sort of comfortable, better than the straps it comes with, but too heavy, index feels super comfortable and I could wear it for hours. I haven't used a quest but I hear the 3 has awful weight and is super front heavy. Seems valve is focused on comfort over everything based on what people have said about the frame, hopefully they have figured out how to make inside out not as terrible

I want them to announce HL3 but this would make for a much better announcement, word-for-word, by Gabe on the TGA stage.

Then he's going to announce a Skibdi Toilet game and movie.
