Mech nerds are a special kind of autistic. I remember playing this game and it was okay, but I didn't think much more of it than it being a free to play game that was destined to die in obscurity like Spiral Knights.

There's a modern client and an alpha client from PAX already available on their discord, playable in singleplayer and multiplayer respectively, guessing they're rolling out the multi for the modern one now.

The big thing with this game was that announcement trailer. The District 9 type aesthetic, and the incredible graphics (doubly so for an indie game). The hype had kind of died down by the time it was released.

That soundtrack was amazing.

Lmk how this compares with Titanfall (which I loved, though moreso as a pilot than in the mech), looks fun.

For the love of God, let me frontline snipe in a Reaper again. There's nothing like outdueling a dumb motherfucker, popping snipe, gibbing him, and getting the fuck out of dodge.

Yes and? I like to spend a concerning amount of time playing dress up in mechlab and testing out each outfit to see what I like. Seeing every crit slot on a mech filled is satisfyingly.

I played Hawken before and it was fun and mostly balanced save for the p2w mechs. I personally mostly used the starter mech as it was a good jack of all trades that allowed you to deal with anything you could come across.
