TT is great for the cities. Place it in a chokepoint and your bug breach is solved.
I saw some dude earlier who had one and I swear it was putting out way more juice than any TT I've used or thrown, like I even had one side by side with his and mine was shooting out one or two bolts here and there while his looked like a decorative tesla ball firing off. Am I retarded or is there some sort of upgrade for them I'm not seeing?
 
50 damage... without having used it the pacifier seems like someone looked at the the liberator concussive and penetrator and wanted the worst of both worlds.
that seems to be the case. it works worse in single player, which is the intended way its supposed to work.

in unrelated news, one of the dozen boosters no one ever takes has a hidden feature that makes it less than useless: motivational shocks also help enemies recover from stagger faster.
 
Pacifier works great with a coordinated team, or the rare event you get randoms with IQs above 80.

Ok so it doesn't kill as fast as other assault rifles, but the stun on the enemies is worth it IMO. You don't even need to magdump a stalker or Alpha commander to keep it stunned, just a short little burst and you can effectively stunlock them. Just some bursts to lock down a horde spraying back and forth while your teammates bring the pain. I saved one guy from 4 predator stalkers and multiple predator hunters chasing his ass that would've certainly killed him if I wasn't using the pacificer. Stupid that there are no mag attachments, but whatever. Thank god it gets medium pen, or else it would probably be straight unusable.

This works very great against the predator strain for obvious reasons. The real problem lies in the fact you can get this done with a halt shotgun or that one SMG that stuns (forgot the name).

Now, honestly I would much rather use something else on bots and squids (although I presume this rifle is decent against the squiggers haven't tested it yet) but the pacificer has it's uses. At least more than say the amendment IMO.
 
For the bug defense missions you can take a tesla tower, a mine strat and an AT weapon and if your team has similar thinking you wont even have to worry about the first wall getting breached, unless you get swarmed of course. Gas and arc damage are GOATed against bugs to the point where if I wanna focus on racking up kill count I run builds heavy with them.

I'd say a grenade launcher with an ammo backpack is much more versatile and has better potential for kills, due to its' range and firerate. If you just control your fire to leave one grenade in the chamber before reloading, it is very fast. You have to keep your distance a little bit though, but it is easily done with just checking the map and having turret stratagems that basically spot the enemies for you by shooting at them. Gas keeps them at bay, grenades finish them at a distance.

This has been my experience on all bug defense maps to the point that I think they're just undertuned. It feels like something isn't working right. With Bots they usually forced their way through the first walls but with Bugs they just die like frogs in a blender.

That said I do wish the SEAF soldiers would stop walking into the mines. Entire squads of them spawn out in the city, journey to your fort like salmon from the sea, and then step on your mines. Even if they start in the fort they walk out to stand in solidarity with Laotians.

The Req hit doesn't matter I guess but the Democracy Officer is trying to make me feel bad about it every thirty seconds and it's like what do you want me to do buddy.
 
i am glad not doing mega nests on super helldive has been normalized. do not miss burning through five lives to suicide run it because my teammates want to choke the mission and stand right next to the mega nest but never actually close any holes and burn through all our lives trying to go through the same bottleneck the entire time instead of walking the fuck around.

Gas is very useful for clearing out light enemies - a single touch of gas is enough to jewify them postmortem. It is not as useless as it may seem - but it is defintely more useful in a combo with another, more damaging area weapon, to buy you more time to clear out the horde. As the game balance stands right now, some roles that are provided by multiple weapons can be easily provided by just using one of these weapons. In case with gas - the gas grenades are most versatile. They don't take a useful stratagem slot, they are quick to use, they got decent throwing range, and they last quite some time. You pair it with an Ultimatum, whatever primary, and some good anti-infantry support weapon, a supply backpack - and you are golden against any number of light-medium enemies, to let your teammates kill heavy guys more easily.

Full gas builds are mostly effective against bugs - where they stun the fuckers so much, that they are basically helpless for your teammates to destroy (a flamethrower buddy is just perfect for such scenarios), or even for you to just run past them (obviously won't help against bile titans or those burrowing tentacles). But even on bots and squids - it is a very useful support build - even on super helldive. Just got to try to cooperate with your teammates a bit more and stay closer to them.
If you still feel a bit useless, you can try to deploy a car and drive everyone to their desired destinations while having your gas drone send heil hitlers to enemies of the Super White Earth around. Be the Ryan Gasling you always wanted to be.
Yeah gas is great on 10 for bugs and squids, orbital gas reloads in a minute so you can throw it on breaches a lot or use it to break a chase (throw it or gas grenade in front of you and run past it before the strike hits.) Dog breath and the grenades are also great. The bottom line is it does DOT and more importantly breaks aggro which is arguably more important when you have fleshmobs or chargers on your ass.

I only run hybrid gas though, I almost never use sterilizer because it sucks and I almost always use servo assisted armor and gas is pretty easy to avoid.

I can't deal with this shit. How can you develop a game after release for 1.5 YEARS and the game engine is still some fucking Lovecraft bullshit that your devs STILL cannot work around or fully understand?

When the game engine was depreciated mid-development so all fixes going forward have to be done by themselves.
 
Damn i wish you could customize secondary weapons, and support weapons.
I really really want to turn the secondary grenade launcher to fire buckshot but with massive damage.
Bipod game mechanic for the machine guns would be great, like in bf3/4.
You get massive recoil reduction but you cant turn the gun around alot unless you "redeploy" the bipod.
The senator could use a better fucking sight, actually i want to remove the sight, it has the worst sight in the game.

The gun customization has made me use few guns i hadnt used in a long time because they sucked at super helldive.
Liberator penetrator is like a pocket medium machine gun with the drum mag now.
Adjucator is nice with the recoil reduction customization, but god damn that thing needs ATLEAST a 40 round mag.
Shame that the customization doesnt really impact alot of the weapons except for their sights, i really want to see purifier with a modification that makes it charge faster but reduces the splash radius/reduces damage or some shit like that.

FUCKING SWEDES WORK HARDER
 
after getting some time with the new grenade launcher, i think it is a good gun. it has a similar utility to the airburst rocket launcer as a mag can clear an entire patrol and then some but it can actually kill bile titans and doesnt take a backpack slot. it is also amazing at holding positions thanks to the stun. pairs well with strategems like the moab because you can hold chargers in place kinda while it drops.

the downside is the insane reload time. the trick is to treat it like a three round gun with some emergency-use-only bullets. if you are ever in combat with an empty de-escalator you will be ran down by stalkers.

will there ever be non predator strain bug MOs ever again? shit is getting tiresome.

I will gladly take the issue with this engine over another unreal looking slop game. Chance are it will be fixed fairly soon.
 
The new update raped my GPU drivers so hard my computer would black screen randomly even without the game running, had to boot up in safe mode and reinstall the drivers.
Bravo Sweden.
 
Thank God that I don't have to fight fucking Predator Strain anymore. Boy oh boy do I love fighting endless Stalkers that sprint at you while eating shotgun blasts like I'm shooting cotton candy, all while eagle storm means some pilot goes "damn there's a bug" and strafes both it and me the moment it gets in my face.
 
that one SMG that stuns (forgot the name).
The Pummeler, which when comparing to the new rifle looks outclassed. The only things it does better than the Pacifier is a slightly stronger stun effect, greater capacity (especially when given a drum magazine), and the fact it's one-handed. If you actually want to do damage and from longer ranges while stunning, then the Pacifier looks better in every way.
 
just carried a game, dying zero times, while my teammates repeatedly ran headlong into the horns of chargers or fucking around solo on the other side of the map and dying to retardation, so i had to do most of the objectives myself also. everything is done except a mega nest and my teammates larry curly and moe have whittled us down to two lives remaining. in a vain attempt to prevent these lemmings from jumping off the cliff, i tell them not to fuck with the mega nest and just leave. this angers the retards, but they are too stupid to kick me until the dropship has already arrived so i get to to pull out the popcorn witness these retards die like columbine kids chased by a conga line of bile titans and failing to clear the nest. thanks for the extra legroom on the ride home idiots!

I hate how the bug divers don't understand the concept of tactical retreat. I bet if you asked them "how would you feel if you hadn't eaten breakfast today?" they would answer with "but i did eat breakfast today".
