I wonder if they'll re-do the Killzone stuff as a warbond. I get the feeling they made this ODST stuff a warbond instead of super store items specifically because of that fiasco.
Baskinator said they are going to eventually, but they're having some technical trouble with reimbursement issues (something to do with reimbursing players who had already bought the Killzone gear beforehand)

So since they don't want to do the Halo Spartans because it wouldn't be lore friendly since the helldivers are special forces, not doom marines, does that mean the imperial guard will be the most likely to be crossed over if they do the Warhammer 40k universe?

Safe bet I would imagine if such a crossover did occur, probably either Elysians or Kasrkin.

Months ago someone asked Pilestedt where the line was drawn when it came to collabs with other IPs, his answer was this pic and "Heres the line". Note that Space Marine is cut off, but an apparent Imperial Guard (Tempestus maybe?) is included so you're probably more right than you know.

Interesting. I appreciate that it has to be military sci Fi, but not too beefy.... I kinda want to brainstorm now. I feel like gears of war is the very limit of how beefy you can go.

I wouldn't mind ALIENS style Colonial Marines but the Viper Commando warbond armour got pretty close already in my opinion. The smart rifles however.

Yes.

Look the site was being difficult and it ended up being a thumbnail of a thumbnail somehow. Apologies.

No TMNT crossover?

Fuck. Guess I'll just kill myself.

Also, I'm kind of surprised clones are over the line. They're mass produced cannon fodder. Now, I don't think the default clones would match aesthetically, put I feel like something like the Tie Fighter Pilot gear could work. Ah well.

The Star Wars stormtroopers and clones troops are visually distinct and iconic enough that they would feel out of place, just like that recent crossover they did with Destiny.

I'd be interested to see a Mass Effect crossover. Original trilogy only, fuck Andromeda. Both HD2 and ME2 take place in the exact same year, both games have bugs, bots, and aliens turning noncombatants into mangled cannon fodder. Instead of having the armors say N7 it could have the player's usual first letter and number designation for each match. The armors and especially helmets look like they'd fit in HD's universe. ME1's armors in particular would be what Super Earth gives SEAF troopers who live for longer than 5 minutes as a reward. The fancy slim armors from 2 and 3 are what Helldivers get.

Tell me that the voteless weren't just husks, the harvesters are praetorians, the fleshmobs are visually the scions, but fight like the brutes...

I like the basic armor your posted. For a light armor, maybe the recon hood and for heavy armor, you could do some of the bulkier armor with the Death Mask helmet.

For a new stratagem, maybe some kind of 20-kilo ferrous slug fired from the destroyer at 1.3 percent of the speed of light...

Gunnery Chief:
This, recruits, is a 20-kilo ferrous slug. Feel the weight. Every five seconds, the main gun of an Everest-class dreadnought accelerates one to 1.3 percent of light speed. It impacts with the force of a 38-kiloton bomb. That is three times the yield of the city-buster dropped on Hiroshima back on Earth. That means Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son-of-a-b*tch in space. Now! Serviceman Burnside! What is Newton's First Law?

Serviceman Burnside:
Sir! An object in motion stays in motion, sir!

Gunnery Chief:
No credit for partial answers, maggot!

Serviceman Burnside:
Sir! Unless acted on by an outside force, sir!

Gunnery Chief:
Damn straight! I dare to assume you ignorant jackasses know that space is empty. Once you fire this hunk of metal, it keeps going till it hits something. That can be a ship, or the planet behind that ship. It might go off into deep space and hit somebody else in ten thousand years. If you pull the trigger on this, you are ruining someone's day, somewhere and sometime. That is why you check your damn targets! That is why you wait for the computer to give you a damn firing solution! That is why, Serviceman Chung, we do not "eyeball it!" This is a weapon of mass destruction. You are not a cowboy shooting from the hip!

Serviceman Chung:
Sir, yes sir!

They’re probably over the line because the retard who made the image put them behind Master Chief in scaling absurdity.

I doubt that, they already have legally distinct Snowtrooper and Mandalorian armour sets in the game. If they could get the collab greenlight from Disney I guarantee that they’d go through with it.
