Wonder if they pulled the plug after the reveal got completely shit on.

Looking at their twitter, there's literally been zero posts since then.
The whole thing feels like an op to scam a bunch of VCs. The trailer looked fake as fuck. Generic and soft art style.
Even the name is based on Overwatch.

This type of game should be coined as "tofuslop", because just like tofu those games are very bland and have nothing special to them.

This won't be Concord level flop because the publisher doesn't believe in it enough to put a ton of money into it.

Weird that they call it a raid shooter when I've only seen that term associated with Tarkov and the like as a substitute for extraction, and games like Destiny that have actual MMO-style raids... and then the gameplay itself is just Paladins, but you have to break red orbs as part of some as-of-yet unknown mechanic. Guess they think they can distance themselves from the hero shooter label, or that this actually qualifies as some new genre entirely?

Huh that's interesting the only seemingly decent looking one was aborted, as you say. Never heard of it but I will admit this character is pretty cool, soy cyberpunk dystopia or whatever.

Hyenas also had this bizarre story framework that honestly read like a John Waters film. What the fuck do you mean an autist dressed like Sonic, an ugly ballerina and a drag queen are raiding rich peoples space ships to steal nostalgia based items for resale? On their home base called The Taint? What the fuck was CA on with this? Go make some more Total War or something, man. You're drunk.

the combo of the most Soy Leftist art shit and big money ventures like Hero Shooters which rely entirely on the "heros" for the game and its longevity is a fucking laugh a minute pairing.

just make them cool retards, and not how you, the leftist dev, thinks of cool, how a 14 year old in the 90's thinks is cool.

in essence? they are ice skating up hill.
China gacha games are running fucking roughshod on these miserable failures from NA because they follow your advice. well, that's half of it. The other half is make people want to fuck your characters. But westerners would rather their characters look fucking hideous off some weird loyalty to inclusion vs actually selling anything.

Give Hoyo like 2 years and they'd slop out a waifu/hot beastman FPS that'd make a billion dollars in a month.

I think they've realized the best thing to do would be to just keep their heads down til release and hope against hope that their gameplay can sell people on this thing.

Which I mean, I think the pools been pissed in already. It might've been smarter to just drop the game the second it was announced during the TGAs so people could go play it instead of having to wait a month or whatever. But would even anyone had done that I ponder. Nothing in that trailer made me go "wow, I wanna play that right now." so...maybe not.

most people working on this could probably tell from the start it was gonna be another paladins/lawbreakers/battleborn/concord so they just put in the minimum amount of effort to make it presentable while looking for new jobs on the side. i don't see how anyone could have confidence in this doing well, it's just fortnite but medieval.

Maybe, but why leave a AAA studio to make this? They have created a new studio just to make the most generic thing ever.

Ok, somebody had to have pulled out last second for that to happen.

On a show with TW 40k, Megaman returning, Divinity 3, 2 new Tomb Raiders and Fate of the Old Republic you pick the generic looking live service shooter slop? Geoff, you sent this game out to fucking die. Even if you're BFFs with the devs and loved playtesting it, you can't have thought that was a good idea. This game was an opener or mid show announcement.

I could prolly pen a better fucking hero shooter than this generic garbage.

From what I understand they did pay, just not for the Finale spot. Geoff chooses what gets each spot and apparently the speculated reason for putting highguard last was because it was coming out soon. Weirdly he mightve been trying to help.

All the games announced were pretty dogshit so I dunno what could even have replaced that slot with. Pretty much everything would get the same general negative reaction because retards were really true and honestly hyping up a Half life reveal and buying into their own lies out of cope.

Larian did the right thing in their placement of the reveal.
