I can't speak for the synthesis itself, but to me it's kind of wild that it is something you could realistically do at a kitchen counter. Now, if I'd bet on something going badly, my inner bossman tells me it'd be some retard thinking the gloves and profuse cleaning are to protect them from the reagents as opposed to protecting them from the filth that surrounds them. If they decide no to go with the autoclave step, or not recognize a contaminated vial, then, well, things could get quite unpleasant.

Why is DIY hrt always for TIMs and not TIFs? Where is that Trans unity?

DIY HRT = taking cross-sex hormones of potentially uncertain provenance (as opposed to state mandated homosexuality).

Homebrew HRT = making one's own troonshine.

Estrogen (for males to turn themselves into pudding) is less illegal but scarce because no one else "needs" it but troons, thus troonshine and troonshine kits.

Testosterone (for females to go bald and fry their innards) is more illegal but widely available. Pooners don't need to make troonshine, they can buy testosterone from the same dealers who supply gymbros.

"DIY" instructions (how to poison yourself with the stuff once you have it) are available for both.

I would not be surprised if you could make them inject paint thinner by writing some smart-sounding procedure involving the use of it with EE.

I was wondering why they were adding more stuff.

The recipe uses benzyl alcohol (BALC) which is a common preservative for medication. It's used because it's antimicrobial.

If I am reading the instructions correctly, they mix 2mL of BALC in about 96mL of MCT oil plus the estrogen material. This gives about 2mg/mL concentration of benzyl alcohol in the final solution which then they bottle into the 10mL vials. This 0.2% concentration is equal to the maximum content of benzyl alcohol enforced by the US Pharmakopeia. The side effects of BALC are not understood well, and some products use alternative methods to preserve the medications.
There is one paper which measures the rate of how BALC oxidizes to benzaldehyde which is considered potentially toxic, and then benzoxylic acid which is a food preservative. The paper shows that even at concentrations of 2mg/mL BALC oxidizes to benzaldehyde and benzoxylic acid in the course of 200 days. I am sure the 5 years shelf life they advertise is at least dishonest, because there are no studies which test the stability of BALC solutions in such a long time.

A proper lawfag might give you a better opinion, but like, the synthesis path isn't a secret, there are papers describing it and it's public information.
Provided the precursors aren't themselves illegal to sell (which I don't know where they are at), I imagine things get murky.

It certainly seems like some sort of reckless neglect to advise an amateur to perform a sensitive reaction that should be pharmaceutical grade, and you certainly don't see, say, chemistry youtubers doing that sort of thing without big legal disclaimers; and they don't sell you the kit you need to perform the reaction.

If your kid went and got a blood clot over injecting tit juice with cat hair particulate and spores and shit, I mean yeah the people going “you should absolutely do this even if you're not a trained professional in a well equipped lab” would probably be co-responsible. Then again you'd be too.

I wouldn't worry about BALC as even degradation products are safer or more sanitary than what they are cooking.
My concern is that the solution is non-buffered and will create local tissue necrosis due to osmolarity potential.
Also, that if they don't take testosterone suppressants and antiandrogens they are doing nothing but causing a big mess.
BALC can have other alcohols present or some stabilizer like phosphoric acid or similar to make it degrade slower.
Overall, not very safe and it won't sanitize a polluted pyrogenic sample.
