I think they are so silly! I hate going to the city, but when I happen to see them out doing their little dances and bobbing their oil-sheened heads, it brings a bit of joy to my heart!

Picture is a pidgeon I saw at the beach one time.

City Chickens get a bad rap, but I kind of enjoy them.

When I go out to smoke during work hours, there's a couple of them that hang out with me on the benches outside the hospital. They just kinda sit there and make little noises. Occasionally I'll give them a scrap of my sandwich. They're bros.

One can't say they love pigeons, if they don't love the young ones too.

What I admire about pigeons, is their sense of minimalism. Absolute bare minimum to prevent the egg from rolling away. In other species, the evolution wasn't this benevolent.

Pigeons wouldn't be bad it their shit gets didn't go literally everywhere. Every other animal at least tries to go in a proper place or bury it, and pigeons not doing the same is an example of why they are inferior animals.

Birds in general, be it extraordinarily smart ones or the dumb, have physically very poor bowel control. Some pet birds can be potty-trained (I had to look that up), but those have their designated ''toilet'' meters away at max all the time. There just wasn't the evolutionary pressure.
(And one just can't have both egg-laying and shit-holding anatomy?)
