Speaking of counter-programming, there's an old kids show that seems to be made in the 80s telling the story about a farmer whose house gets visited by mice fleeing a calamity. The mice are welcomed in but are ungrateful. They kept on taking and taking the food to the point the farmer had to bar them from taking too much. Not cutting them off. Mice gets angered by this activity and then have the bright idea of driving out the farmer so they get all the food. They succeed and the house falls to ruin because the farmer disappeared. Mice leaves and... finds another house.

Also, there are people who are making content meant to teach kids about the dangers of our modern-day clownworld. Wish I can find it. One story in particular and it was animated in a non-globohomo artstyle details a story about a young squire who gains a magic mirror. At the start, the squire would train relentlessly and keep up to task. The mirror then started showing him what he wants. Great heroes doing badass things and very beautiful women on command. The squire would eventually neglect their duties and training to the point he became a shell of his former self. Afterwards, a great demon would ravage the land and there were no heroes to stand against it. The mirror then reveals the truth. Its master perceived that a great hero would one day defeat the great demon in battle. So they decided to send the mirror to the squire so they get sidetracked and waste their time on nothing... just so the demon can complete their path of destruction.

Wish I saved the channel. Also, the demon mirror in other stories would get taken advantage of by someone sly and wily.

My grandparents had this 1950s picture book about a poodle who gets a job at a French bakery. A while ago I saw it had been reprinted and picked up a copy for a young relative. It wasn't until I flipped through, then flipped through again, somewhat bewildered, that I realized that although the original contained no "problematic" elements even by Tumblr standards, they had revised and edited it- in fact completely redone the illustrations- to be in line with Current Year.

And to be clear- this reprint was done in 2010. This shit has been going on for a while, insidiously.
