I found that lurking a while is a good way of getting a feel for the culture of a forum so that you have a good idea how to act without being too off-putting or, well, annoying.

If you never lurked before I suggest reading the pinned guidelines and the like. That could be very helpful.

Lurking is never a bad idea, especially with Chris and Chris discussion. One thing to note is the importance of this thread. It's where you should go for any random thoughts or questions you may have. Also, the CWCki isn't entirely truthful and you should take what it says with a grain of salt.

(Does anyone remember "iwarrior" and/or "darrendannygirl"? This was in the mid-2000s. iwarrior posted on comic book, wrestling, and heavy metal boards... thought the world owed him money and women just for living, creepily stalked his Subway server, etc. darrendannygirl was a deeply unpleasant asexual who was obsessed with two members of the band Savage Garden being in love. These were my intros to the world of lolcow. As you might expect, Chris puts them to shame.)

Anyway, I'm psyched to be around this time for Chris's recent flurry of activity! Exciting.
