I don't think I worded it properly, I mean just skin, no actual reproductive organs, at best it would be cosmetic and possibly functional in the sense of it's a hole it gets wet?

Pretty much taking the skin from the cervix down the labia and just inserting it and attaching it as if it were the same "Vagina" as the would with the penis skin.

There's a net of muscles holding the female reproductive system up inside your body... Dudes don't have it, so I'm not sure how you'd attach a transplant system securely. There's also hormonal stuff in women that interacts with reproductive organs... not sure if you can fake that. And then you'd need to be on anti-rejection drugs for the rest of your life, like any other transplant patient, or your body would reject the foreign organ.

I remember a conversation going around the RadFem sphere about this a couple years ago and all the RadFems were freaking out and pulling "organ donor" off their driver's licences because they didn't want to inadvertantly donate to a troon. C-sections. The pelvis is the least of the issues. It's not just the pelvis either, the torso - ribs are very involved and men don't have the exact same anatomy there either. The baby will displace your organs as it grows. The complex hormonal stuff is what prevents it from happening, tho. Pregnancy is governed by hormones. Every second of every day you are pregnant your body is having a hormonal reaction to help grow that child. You cannot just stick a single needle in your ass once a day of some synthetic garbage and be done with it. We're talking constant, evolved for, minute and acute reactions constantly occurring and it can go horribly wrong in women born to do it. To try to replicate that in a male body would be negligent and abusive to the fetus.

Even in women womb transplants are not advised. They can be done but complication risks are high and it's basically recommended to be removed after a maximum of 2 or 3 pregnancies iirc.

I love how grandma crazy-eyes makes a big speech about how important and memorable prom is, how none of them will ever forget this night, and then later on Noelle completely sabotages what should be a happy experience because he isn't getting enough attention at the moment. Last time I checked, school shooting victims still go to their prom and still manage to have a good time, trauma or not. I don't see how the association of an announcer on a microphone equates to fucking gunshots. And he could have just left the event discreetly instead of having Jazz and his crazy posse sitting with him in the goddamn lounge hall.

People like Noelle really irritate me. I totally understand how hard it can be to live with PTSD or some sort of mental disorder. Depression and anxiety are major social inhibitors and we should never disregard the impact they can have on people. But you also don't fucking self-sabotage yourself because no one is paying attention to you. You take away joyful moments from other people and ruin what should be the time of your life. Had this been a one-time thing, I would let it slide. But Noelle is an extremely unpleasant person and CONSTANTLY complains and makes everything about him and his drama. Everything is a negative experience. Everything is the fault of the world and not his inability to cope and interact with others.

Jazz is the same way, but to a lesser extent because Jazz at least seems friendly and trusting of people, at least up until they disagree with him or point out ways he could improve himself.

I've never met someone as held as Jazz is. What I mean is that I've never seen someone surrounded by so many coddlers and enablers that worship the ground he stands on and yet none of that is enough to quell his "anxiety". I've seen so many people, myself included, manage to survive massive anxiety without a single form of comfort or support and yet Jazz can't even survive his own graduation without collapsing into a screeching frenzied wreck. It angers me because there's so many people out there that would probably really hate Jazz for his wide support network. Most people don't have the luxuries that Jazz has and likely never will. He can't even stop to think about that for a second, much less follow through with things like a normal person. Life is stressful and scary. But Jazz is spoiled and has all the resources he could ever want. He was born as Mommy's Golden Child and the only real suffering he will ever know is the one his mother imposed on his genitals.

What I mean is that I've never seen someone surrounded by so many coddlers and enablers that worship the ground he stands on and yet none of that is enough to quell his "anxiety". I've seen so many people, myself included, manage to survive massive anxiety without a single form of comfort or support and yet Jazz can't even survive his own graduation without collapsing into a screeching frenzied wreck. It angers me because there's so many people out there that would probably really hate Jazz for his wide support network. Most people don't have the luxuries that Jazz has and likely never will. He can't even stop to think about that for a second, much less follow through with things like a normal person. Life is stressful and scary. But Jazz is spoiled and has all the resources he could ever want. He was born as Mommy's Golden Child and the only real suffering he will ever know is the one his mother imposed on his genitals.

The inverted penile skin isn't the issue- like the ear piercing metaphor upthread, once the skin heals it can stay like that more or less indefinitely. The issue is that men lack the "sling" of muscles and ligaments that women have cradling the opening to the vagina. In men, those muscles run perpendicular to the penis.

Surgeons have to slice through the musculature to create an opening, and body is forever trying to heal those muscles and ligaments back together. If the opening heals shut, the mtf is left with an inaccessible skin cavern filled with sweat, pubic hair and smegma, and no way to clean it out with anything larger than a qtip.

It's almost as if the human body is coded to act in a way and it can't be changed. This surgery is nothing but a cosmetic procedure, something as fake and superficial as applying red lipstick. Until they find a way to make the actual human code to change, it's worthless. They're only giving these poor people fake hopes for something it will never change.

At this point, the most human thing to do is tell them the truth and try to help them to deal with their situation.

I watched that scene with Noelle having a breakdown at prom and came away with a slightly different take. You have to remember that prom is one of those events that all teens think about. That's the night they're supposed to be getting laid, getting drunk, looking their best, taking photos, and making memories with their friends. When I watched that scene, all I could see was a boy who realizes that he majorly fucked up and made the wrong choice in life. It felt like I was witnessing the 7 stages of grief in that short clip.

This is supposed to be one of the best night's of his life. He could have stuck with being a popular jock. He could be laughing it up with his old football buddies, dancing with a new girlfriend, and thinking about partying afterwards, but no. Instead, he's dressed up and trying to pass as a woman, but failing hard, especially when seated next to a passing Jazz, someone he loathes. It's very obvious Noelle doesn't like Jazz or his family, yet he has to hang out with them now. Just look at how uncomfortable he looks around Jazz; he never stands close like real friends do, not unless someone tells them to stand close for a photo. Also, as we've seen, hanging out with Jazz means you're constantly coddling her and making everything about her, which sucks no matter who you are. Even worse, Noelle is being recorded for all of the world to see. He can't lash out or say the real reason, lest he be labeled transphobic.

I think the loud noises did bother him, I can also believe that the crowd of people could give him anxiety about the shooting he witnessed. However, I don't believe for a second that is the main reason as to why he's upset. Look at how he reacts before he leaves the table. He keeps looking around, seeing a bunch of regular kids dancing and having fun with their friends. He looks embarrassed, as if he knows that he and his flamboyant group of "friends" stand out, in a bad way. He knows that no one believes he is a woman. Deep down he has always known, but this night the realization is hitting him hard: he gave up his old life for nothing. He's still the same as he was, only now he looks like a weird man in a dress. I feel pity for him.

I am pretty big in dog rescue and rehabilitation. the first thing we tell fosters /adopters of the strays/abused/neglected /who knows what fucked the dog up story is is to NOT CODDLE THE DOG. it screws up their sense of self and safety and makes them even more neurotic. They get the behavior of learned helplessness and it rewards them the more neurotic they get.
