His entire point hinges on an indie studio being retarded enough to run their game like TF2, and a clever way to get people to fearmonger about a recent issue without considering the compounding factors that lead to it, such as TF2's old, spaghetti code, the complete abandonment by the dev, and a wierd insistance to bolt on matchmaking to said spaghetti almost 20 year old game, in spite of the Source Community's preference and embracing of community efforts and servers

DDos and more social attacks are more possible on perspective indie devs if some bad actors wanted to do some sort of malicious takeover of a released license, and that could happen to a non licensed game out of pure spite, (see, Titanfall 2) it also feels like he is projecting here to an extent, considering his alleged history with that university second life shit
