I knew I smelled pretentious faggot energy from this guy, I never looked into him but would see his videos posted in circles i'm around and the way he talks about stuff just gave huge ego energy. Nice to know my gut reaction is justified.

Why are they always furries?
Furries just tend to have massive malformed egos. It’s just what happens when you’re in a sphere where people tend to think highly of themselves too much.

If the millionaire Thwomp-headed Chinese eunuch with direct connections to Google and his own business dedicated to digital cover-ups who has made an art out of running intimidation rackets on the wives of CEOs couldn't do it, the lumpy failson who needs eight billion arrays to make his game work and social engineering to do less than 1/12 the work needed for a black badge isn't going to be able to do any better - frankly he'll do worse. Dong-Gone had the best chance due to industry connections and resources, Vordrak only had a fighting shot because it was just the exact right time due to the situation pertaining to Dear Feeder's family. That situation isn't present anymore, so there's no real Sword of Damocles to threaten to snip over Null's head anymore.
oh i know, his attempt to go full hackerman on spy.pet indirectly lead to a fucky counter bot that ended up getting a couple false positives, iirc, i think it would be funny if he tried any sort of beginners script kiddy shit that backfired again

Unless he provides some sort of verification, I'm not sure if nukebot's contributions should necessarily be included in the OP. Other than that, though, superb work!
I think the disclaimer is nice. I still hope he can provide some verification to the mods because the milk thing is big if true.

Assuming all of the bullet points from anonymous people in the comments of the old articles from 2007-2008 are telling the truth it can go 2 ways
  1. He goes full Vordrak mode and tries to take the site down
  2. He would start responding to the thread and talking about it to gain sympathy
He has been described as extremely vengeful, so I wouldn't be surprised that when the thread goes public he would immediately notice

I'm betting on #1. Thor was a big booster of KickTheSpy.pet when the spy.pet thing happened, I think he even contributed code to one of the efforts or hosted the ID list.

When this thread goes public, someone should give Null advance warning. Thor is not going to sit down and thoughtfully investigate KF, he's going to hear "harassment site? EVIL NAZIS" and join up with the DropKiwiFarms crowd.

I've watched some of his streams before, he's a combination of affable and arrogant. His LP streams getting into a game fresh are good background noise, but he tends to be analytical about the game design rather than immersive. His best moments are talking about banning cheaters and doing game security, where he seems to have legitimate expertise. But none of his shorts hit for me, they don't offer real insight or explain things in tech very well. He stands out from the other "software dev and programming" streamers in that he rarely does actual programming on stream, or offer a highly technical opinion on current topics in tech. And he always thinks his takes are correct and well-informed, none of the "maybe I don't know" caution you see from other devs encountering a new topic.

He's a reflexive lefty, fully on board with the whole LGBTQP+ bit, and hates whoever he's supposed to hate. He's also a decently sized streamer on Twitch and has a large audience on the usual platforms, so when he gets pissy all the attention will come swinging our way again.

I was wondering who this smug condescending asshole was because he kept appearing in YouTube short recommendations and low and behold he has a thread here. I never knew the guy before reading the OP but his know-it-all demeanor immediately set off something in my head that said "this guy is some sort of fraud".

And send a massive chunk of his audience over here to read his thread to find out how much of a hack he is?

Maybe 15 years ago, but his take that "kernel-level anti-cheat is not at all necessary because you can just detect the cheat in userland like they did in WoW in 2011" is so confidently stated with such authority and so wrong that it's impossible to even know where to begin. He doesn't seem to consider the idea that maybe cheat developers have stepped up since then. For context, a cheat running as a kernel-level driver cannot be detected accurately from userland, which is the exact reason why Valve's anticheat (which is userspace only) is having so much trouble recently, and other companies are pivoting to using kernel-level anticheat. Beyond that, some cheat vendors are now straight-up offering DMA cards that are physical PCI-E devices that access RAM directly (hence DMA), circumventing software entirely. And yes, some people are that desperate to cheat.

I am surprised with his ego considering his game is not that good and most importantly unfinished.

The guy talks like he made Disco Elysium.

Heartbound is just an unfinished quirky lol game that only appeals to homosexuals, furries and children.

There's no real gameplay either. The puzzles are mediocre and there's no combat.
I would put it in a tier below Andy and Leley's coffin and that's saying something.
I’d honestly say YIIK has more value as a game simply because it works as an interesting case study on game development gone wrong, and even if it’s just because of the memes surrounding some of the game’s more memorably shitty moments, it had more impact than Heartbound ever will.
Say what you want about Andrew “My mistake was thinking video games are art” Allanson, but he and his brother actually released their quirky indie RPG and are still improving it. Meanwhile Heartbound’s biggest achievements are being a glorified screensaver for Jason’s streams, and making Toby Fox get mad at Matpat that one time.

Thor absolutely strikes me as the type to lose his shit when something pops up that he can't control. His need to respond to even the most asinine of criticisms on vids that get hundreds of thousands of views, as well as his doubling down on his anti-consumer takes are not indicative of a man that's able to handle anything bar shameless ass patting, which is also why I think he has that whole enforced corporate positivity vibe going on.

That being said he does come across as being quite a bit higher on the IQ scale than most people that have boards here, so he may be smart enough to realise that the best course of action for him is to just keep his mouth shut and not mention us, but I wouldn't bet any money on it, particularly if dramatubers start going after him using our info.

He'll do the same thing Keffals did, decry the Bad Site and warn his viewers not to read it. The real concern is whipping up another round of hate on Twitter, reminding the usual suspects to start up their bullshit reporting and deplatforming again.

Maybe 15 years ago,
Yeah, that line originally read "legitimate though out-of-date expertise", don't know where it disappeared during editing.

What could they even do now? short of his uncle being owner of all T1 ISPs on the planet I fail to see this as a cause for concern. Add to that two of the power players in the last campaign imploding on themselves and the "they killed byuu" (because he uploaded minecraft mods riddled with malware) silver bullet having been spent, is there anything left for them other than frothing with rage?

That's an area I agree with him on tbh, most game developers are literal soydevs that shouldn't be going anywhere near the kernel least they brick peoples PC's. Microsoft seems to agree as now all kernel level applications are going to have to be sandboxed after the CrowdStrike disaster.

As you say DMA renders them useless anyway.
