Don't want him to, but I'm surprised he isn't in FF14; the acceptable in game joke is 70% of Miqote (cats) are gay men and the rest are fujoshis. The community is also heavily progressive and insane about calling the mods over every sleight. I don't want him to, but he'd fit in.
And a large, non-zero amount of the playerbase are furries with a questionable relationship with the age of consent. He'll fit right in.

Go on Jason, embrace your destiny.

This is something that really gets me about him. It's pretty clear that Mald is using the fact that gamers deify devs to be Mr Popular, and this cracks that image of himself he's created. It's a really immature thing I've noticed devs and people who work on movies do when they're starting out, using that work history to play as a hero, kinda like stolen valor.

I've met gamedevs including Blizz employees they're normal people, it's just another job. I've worked on media for big massive multi-national brands, it's just another job. Not that different than working in a warehouse, or retail. There's no heroism to it, it's very romanticized but it's just a job, and I wish people would stop seeing it as special. But I think people like him fuel that mentality, and I've always kind of had a distaste of him for that.
it simply boils down to the fact that he's a loser, and he knows it. He's a nepobaby that could'nt even take advantage of the fact that he was a nepobaby because hes so fucking retarded that he couldnt even finish an indie game. It eats at him because he knows hes a faggot with chronic insecurity so he just fabricates his image on youtube shorts. Throwing around le hacker buzz words and constantly shoving "I worked in the gaming industry for 20 years" (coded a game for 15min), before he throws around more buzz words to let you know that hes that guy.

there is a beautiful irony in the fame he so desperately wanted is what fucked him over, becasue what happened in wow is not new to him
with second life, with eve, probably with blizzard as well, he was a nobody, so when this happened befor at it all blew up he could quietly move on the the next group that would take him
hes too big for that now, the name he made for himself now stinks of shit and he cant change it

I think you're completely correct there. I was going to write that he reminds me a lot of Rekieta in that way but didn't want to risk the reply coming off as too long and rambling. But now you've put it into words, he's very similar to Nick Rekieta in that way. I think the both of them have that kind of inferiority complex and now that they're popular, they are trying to live their dream of being the popular kid in highschool.

This kind of bullshitting seems kinda common in my experience. I've seen and heard cases of very similar things, like projects that were "spearheaded by a former Pixar employee" that was just a former Pixar temp who hanged out in the office while the project was being worked on. I think he's really got that similar focus on image and that's especially why he can't just let it go, because it contradicts his persona as a gamer god former Blizzard power plant hacking hot shot. And because his persona is fabricated he sees the slightest scrutiny as an existential threat.

and now that they're popular, they are trying to live their dream of being the popular kid in highschool.
Which is fine anywhere else but recorded on the net. Because it being recorded forever will ensure it will blow up in your face. And then everyone will go back through everything and change how they viewed every other time.

No good thing comes of it.

He actually plays ff14. Ive seen him play a galka warrior. He praises it. Not sure why he doesnt play it on stream as ofteb.

I still can't believe "not wanting to apologize for making a mistake" is the hill this faggot chose to die on when there's such an easy fix.
No, "sorry guys, I just totally fucked up, I guess the stress of the situation got to me. Happens to the best of us, amirite?"

Probably because he didn't actually make a mistake so his ego refuses to allow him to apologize for one.
He wanted his party dead, I think.
One of them probably did something this fat egotard took as a personal slight, so he was enacting "vengeance."
You don't hover over your means to save them and then do that gay fucking anime smirk if you hadn't planned this.

It’s hilarious that anytime Mald has done something absurd it has to do with like some retarded ass autism thing. First it was Second Life, Internet “no-lifer” communities and now WoW.

Should have stayed making game bucko

I believe it. I think he saw that moment as an opportunity to lecture his party members after they got fucked over. He saw they fucked up on the pull and was thinking on how to chastise them and parade his 'expertise' on how to move around a dungeon and pull mobs. It's just that he isn't as good as he thinks he is to pull this off and didnt think the scenario would get scrutinized as it is and that the other streamers has the ego to 'match' him and didnt just go meek before his lecturing starts

I am still skeptical that malds version of events in aoc where he got 'stream sniped' and ganked in a cave so he declared war on the ganking guild was truly as accurate as it is. Someone also mentioned he accidentally pulled a boss with his spell and managed to blame it on his own guild members so blaming others is a habit for him.

It's funny that he used these intimidation tactics about regretting criticizing him, because he felt that the whole drama will calm down, and he will be still in a position of power, making it possible for him to blacklist someone from future collabs. That was probably a good assumption at the beginning of the drama, but he shouldn't say that loud, and his need to correcT the record quadruple down piggy tomlinson style put the fuel to the flame, hurting his image even more. He outplayed himself, and this whole debacle might be detrimental to his future streaming career. I didn't think it would hurt him, but I don't think there is coming back to the status he had before. At least not in a foreseeable future.
It won't kill his career, but it hurt his wholesome chungus wise sage image, and created a lot of new detractors that won't go away, and won't forget his faggotry.
Yup, he went over to Amazon where he was paid the industry standard and was fired before his probationary period ended. It's almost like he's not worth the industry standard rate.
What is the official Mald cope about his departure?

Snupy continues to suffer...
Will maldy point at this and cry out: "Look he did this on purpose! I am being harassed for less!!!"?
Expanding even more on the technical side of things. His first statement about the story is about a person trying to place this IMSI catcher/Stingray in a certain room is something I can't understand, why if he had already placed two other catchers would he plant a 3rd in this room and in a room with someone in it & say "can I plug this unknown device in, cheers". I cannot believe someone is that stupid. Secondly, I still don't understand what the fuck is talking about when his talking about screws. If someone smarter than can figure out that rambling, I'd appreciate it.
I posted it earlier in thread but:
At this DefCon there indeed were imsi catchers detected.
Maldy just inserted himself as a hero. It was a big news back then even VICE wrote about it.
So given that there is no mentions of any arrests, it's almost 100% certain maldy did not do shit.

About screw.
He means that because hacker nigga forgot to screw enclosure fully from one side, it helped him to deduce which side to unscrew for quicker access.
Idk, he is just retarded, don't overthink it. He has less clue than you.

Stole from some random. Not mine, absloute gold.

When I think about it more. Its funny that the person that took the best decision for PiRAT was Soda GKicking him into next year, with that move his effectively stopped the drama now. PiRAT can get on his Soapbox on the next stream and do a bit of a rant, but his WoW content is over. Its back to either AoC or I dunno his job of making a dog shit game. Its crazy to think that the person who gives out so much Game Dev advice cannot finish his own game after 8 years.

I hate to say it but I don't know how he could make this any worse.

HUGE iirc here; he claims he was offered the fed job. He brought it to his boss and checked if he can get a better offer from amazon. The boss couldnt and the boss, yes, the boss encouraged him to take the job.

Later he said that the fed job downsized 1 person and he has to take like 50 (or was it 30?) flights per year or something cause the work got spread to other team members and so he quit on his own. Or so he says.

He wanted his party dead, I think.
I have a theory. Remember that time Mald straight up doxed a guy who designed Defcon CTFs because Mr. Robot used part of his puzzle as an easter egg in an episode, of which said guy actually had a part in making, and put it in there as an easter egg for defcon attendees? The answer to the CTF was his phone number, so Mald dropped it on twitter to "epically own" the showrunners for "being stupid and not understanding what they're putting in their show". Even if it was their mistake, he should have notified them in private instead of being a fucking sperg on Twitter about it. This shows he has absolutely no problem fucking over other people to make himself look competent to the public, and lecture people. I believe he was fully intending to let them die so he could lecture them about how bad the pull was.
