For the VPN thing, Mullvad has been tested under a subpoena as Null covered so it's funny that he doesn't know about this, or thinks all VPNs will sell you out when many do offer actual privacy tools.

I'm pretty sure Proton has been tested under subpoena as well. I believe Swiss law only requires their email service to hold IP addresses for like a year while their VPN service does not. So you can in fact completely bypass that issue with their email service by connecting through their VPN service.

This might be a good fact check opportunity to see if the one poster here really does have contact with his dad to see if he ever said that. Because that sounds even for a blizzard dork family pretty socially retarded. Maldy mentions a specific service here which is IP2location, it's fine for what it is but it's horribly flawed. For example, I bounced around a few nodes and pretty quickly it gave me a result while using a VPN that showed I wasn't using one, despite using one.

It's fine as a basic tool, but you can't really get a ton from it beyond that at a quick glance. Sometimes it will block real people, and other times it will let through nefarious actors, and it's not that consistent.

If I was building a house I'd want a strong frame because that's what everything will depend on into the future.
So Programming easily should get 50% of that budget.
Now it used to be back in the days you could just build shit and say "its always been there." when an appraiser comes along every few years.
Not so much anymore. So You're gonna need a chunk to legal probably 20% cause lawyers are expensive fuckers.
That leaves 30% which I'd just pump into art and design.
Marketing is a joke. Bribing IGN to give you a 7/10 isn't going to do anything for you. Putting ads on youtube isn't going to actually attract anyone.
Post footage of your game and interact with people who like those kinds of games on your lunch breaks. That's better marketing.
So maybe 2% to marketing to pay for your lunch.

I don't think lawyers would have helped much with that. It was the German shovelware developer "Spooky House Studios" and EU law is supreme retarded even compared to US law. They let Sky Media own the word "sky" which forced even Microsoft to rename SkyDrive to OneDrive and they lost the trademark for Skype in the EU because Skype contains Sky and people might get them mixed up.
