She isn't, she's just a veterinary assistant which is a position that requires no medical training or schooling outside of high school and a certification.
You don't even need the highschool diploma or certification depending on the state. If they're in Washington, it's up the the vet practice to do the training or require certification. The OP is yugely wrong optimistic.

RiverMakes aka f1shb0nes, goes by Shaye, is the illustrator for Heartbound, is an exotic veterinarian
Do you love animals, and are you passionate about working with and caring for them? If so, you may want to consider a career as a veterinary assistant. Currently, the state of Washington does not have any educational requirements to work as a veterinary assistant. On the other hand, a lot of employers require that an employee have a high school diploma or GED, and they may prefer potential employees that have some training as well.

Since veterinary assistants do a lot of administrative work, they are often the ones who communicate directly with the pet owners. Some of the duties of veterinary assistants include but are not limited to scheduling appointments and answering calls, managing records, explaining procedures and treatments to pet owners, feeding, grooming and exercising animals, restraining animals, sterilizing and sanitizing equipment and rooms, and assisting with surgical procedures and the aftercare of animals.

Most of these skills can be learned through on-the-job training and hands-on experience. However, since having some educational training or experience under your belt may increase your chances of getting hired in the first place, or give you a higher earning potential, enrolling in a veterinary assistant program may be something for you to consider.

I really like those discord screencaps
>"i see jason bruteforcing answers instead of solving it"
>"Uhm, why do YOU care about how the god of puzzle games plays his puzzle games"
His tweet makes it even funnier, 12h+ stream, and he's so smart that knowing people still have eyes on him, goes for piss break in the middle of the puzzle, guys, i really start to belive he's retarded.

I swear he gives attention (Archive) to every tweet that mentions him in a bad light.

I think Jason "ButtGnome" Hall reads this thread, or someone close to him does. The alternative is that he streams for 12+ hours a day AND then trawls through the internet for all his mentions. He's definitely doing fuck all constructive development to Heartbound. He shouldn't be advising people to touch grass when he spends more time bathing in video games than he does in real life.

As for Blockgame, isn't he just using paid Minecraft mods MMOCore and MMOItems plus some free mods/server plugins? Stringing together and configuring plugins someone else made sounds more in line with PirateSoftwares skills. Does anyone have any clips or stream segments of him actually developing blockgame using Java or Kotlin and not just tweaking configuration files?

Essentially he's just larping as a game dev either for his own sake or to trick the horde of gullible retards who watch his stream so that if anyone questions his 200 years of experience he can say he is developing an insanely complex and intricate RPG(just another 8 years guys c'mon don't you know how difficult making an Undertale clone is????) and a new revolutionary mmo (definitely not just fucking around with minecraft mods, he plans to make it for real).

Been noticing he has scheduled his streams to only 4 times a week, taking 3 days off instead of 2. Anyone still keeping up know why? Did he say it's because he has to work on heartbound more? :story:

Yeah my apologies, I looked up the requirements briefly and wrote what I saw. You're completely right and I should've added the word "ideally" for my post. Insane how little training is required for all of that and they still decide to open up a "sanctuary" completely on their own.

Does Jason really think monthly updates are even remotly acceptable? At every company I worked for going more than 2 weeks without a patch, bugfix, etc. caused customers to throw a fit and ask if we are still working on it.

Also it's absurd that he goes. "If you care, you would know that an update is comming where we add a whole # to the font!"

His kind of game feels like little updates and additions would feel like nothing at all so a content drop every quarter year sounds more reasonable but the problem is he has abandoned his game for more than a year and has nothing to show for it. If he wants to add anything substantial, it would add another 3-4 months and it'd look even worse optically. He's at the point where he has to choose: stream his usual garbage or not stream and actually make his game offline OR stream his heartbound devs. All not good options that make him look bad one way or another. :story:

I don't necessarily think monthly updates are a bad idea, plenty of games do that. To me the bigger issue is just how little said updates include. This is the announcement for the Feb 1st update:

It's literally fucking nothing.

It is no longer possible to softlock by answering a question in the same frame it was asked.
That genuinely cracked me up. I wonder how it was discovered in the first place — perhaps the story really is that much of a nothingburger snoozefest that the average player just mashes buttons to get through all the dialogue as quickly as possible?

Changelog said:
The game no longer crashes on September 2nd every year.
WTF!? No, seriously. What? Why would any game, let alone his, need to check this specific date, and badly at that?

The post that went "viral" came out on May 22th 2021 and the category for game development and software came out on September 2nd 2021.
Oh. Classic Maldy moment to add code in his game (probably for yet another gay puzzle ARG) to commemorate the day he himself personally invented the Software & Game Development category on Twitch, all entirely due to his own personal being, the "fact" of which he absolutely must personally remind anyone who plays his games and watches his videos.

I guess that bug did just spoil a major part of the Heartbound secret hunting quest, huh?

Big brain Mald bruteforcing a logic puzzle.
Imagine you're in some escape room challenge with a riddle that gives a lock combination for a door. A pudgy contestant tells you not to fear since he's a puzzle genius who worked for the government.

You watch him read the riddle with a smug third puberty voice. You think he's onto something until you see him trying random codes into the lock.

However mid-bruteforce he argues with another contestant who's calling him out and demands they be disqualified immediately.

Just realized theres more whining on the maldcord about the cheating
Edit forgot to take the Spoiler off what the user in the Screenshot was spoilering
It's really pathethic when you think about it.

A puzzle game is supposed to bring you joy in figuring out the solution yourself. It's not made as a way to brag about solving puzzles.

The whole tweet about solving 500+ puzzles in 12h comes out as a humble brag, on who ? another random on twitter ?

You can say all you want about the witness but it's one of those games where every mechanics has an introductory puzzle and the game is made so sometimes you have to look around in the open world for hints about how to solve it.
His whole explanation about how to solve the puzzle was really weird and as someone who played it blind I can tell he looked up the solution just by the way he's explaining it.

I don't necessarily think monthly updates are a bad idea, plenty of games do that.
It's not the worst if your game is finished or if you are a reliable dev team. Jason has neither a finished game nor is he reliable.

This is the announcement for the Feb 1st update:
  • With an "Are you Sure?" option: Imagine being so desperate to bloat your changelog that you highlight something that's to be expected anyways
  • An end is no longer the end: This is either his stupid ARG shtick or means absolutely nothing.
  • I'm surprised that the like first 1/3 of bug fixes have to do with his dialogue system. I thought that was the big draw for his game...
  • "The game no longer crashes on September 2nd every year." ...just how was this a thing?
  • Memory issues. I'm sure now his tiny ass indie game will no longer have 4GB as the minimum recommend amount of RAM...
Most of these bugs are due to his god awful code. Also interesting, how apparently in all this time (Last one I see on steam was April 1st 2024) nothing got added.

Yeah poor Jason needs to stream 12+ hours a day just to make ends meet and that it is "keeping him afloat". Not like he earns 5 figures from streaming and also already did a Kickstarter and has been selling EA copies ever since.

Having a controversy around puzzle solving in his gameplays, then proclaiming he is a puzzle genius who can DESTROY a random puzzle game, and later starting The Witness playthrough is exactly why the heat around him doesn't stop.

If he cheated in Animal Well and cheats now, then he is a retard for doing that and giving his detractors new ammunition against him. If he doesn't cheat, then why is he playing this game now when a lot of people just wait for him to fuck up or verify his claims about puzzle games?

It's not like The Witness was just released and he didn't want to miss the hype like many streamers do. He is just unable to let anything negative about him slide, he has to correcT the record. Typical narc behaviour.

I have a simple rule: I disregard any ballwasher opinion that addresses Mald as "Thor".
