I posted a joke 4chan post which claimed he was pretending to be a villain just to boost its chances.

"Ah yes officer I WAS trying to have sex with this child in the playground. But if you think about it, isn't me allowing you to arrest myself ACTUALLY means I'm responsible for STOPPING child rape. So really, I'm the good guy in all this."

I don't know anything about coding but the person in the video kept talking about how there were easier and shorter ways to put in what he did. Everything about Mald is showing off and being smug about how smart he is. If I had to guess he wants there to be a ton of code so he can show off to a layman who just sees a big screen with a bunch of lines on it. If someone just showed me that and wasn't a weird furry degenerate then told me that it was good code and a lot of work I'd just take their word for it.

Looking at the blog from the literally who that Fagtree posted, and some of these points are just things Ross has refuted 1,000 already. For example

Ross has already discussed the nuances of copyright and DRM and how the initiative would handle them on streams, videos and posts several times. Not even doing the bare minimum of research.

There's some other great ones like

"EU already has consumer protection laws so actually trying to make more is pointless :smug:" What the fuck is this logic? Do those laws stop games from becoming unplayable? NO? Then fuck off.

And ofcourse there's the classic

Thinking that wanting to preserve free games as well is "entiltement" really shows how these people really are. They don't care about games, they don't care about preserving art or cultural history, the only thing that matters is money and who has the piece of paper saying they own X lines of code. In this sense I believe they are the complete antithesis of Ross. A man that doesn't care about the money, a man that only learned about copyright law and intellectual property law and consumer right laws and the hundred other things he had to educate himself on to do the thing he actually cares about. Preserving games and making sure gamers can keep playing them.

Pretty much anyone would expect there to be a slowdown after the initial rush anyway, as those who were most invested in the initiative and had been following Ross's updates from the start would be ready to sign as soon as they were able, and then the real work would set in of communicating its importance to the masses. However, for Mald to cope that he had nothing to do with its anemic pace afterwards is horrendously disingenuous, so basically entirely on-brand. Faggot went on record saying that he was going to tell everyone he knew not to support it, and given he hadn't completely torched his own credibility at that point, there's probably a fair amount of people that listened to him. Add onto that second- and third-order communications as those people told others not to support it, coupled with the misinformation spreading around that he directly caused, and it's safe to say that even if he wasn't the primary driver of the slump, he definitely played a big role.

And now that it's past the threshold and everyone is turning on him, he's trying to cope and say that if he hadn't been a dickhead from the start, it would never have gotten that far, so really he's the real hero. Eat shit, weasel fucker. I hope you cry yourself to sleep tonight (probably while jamming the gnome up your ass) knowing that your pathetic gayops failed miserably.
This also doesn't get into other Youtubers and streamers being less inclined to do a call to action because now the game dev streamer everyone knows and loves just said "it's shit!" So if a Youtuber/streamer says otherwise now then they're at odds with Mald who vehemently hates SKG. He got in the way of the potential for a campaign, whether there would have been one or not, we'll never know, but he hindered it regardless. I doubt his impact was substantial as far as his own viewers' votes.

We're talking about a guy who uses shades of green to look like an epic hacker instead of a proper color theme that makes his life easier and would make it easier for his viewers, many of which claim to be aspiring developers.

This is why I like Roadcraft... The game is 30ish GB and you can download another 30 GB in 4k textures as a extra DLC in the store, but if you dont want it, it takes less space.
I think this is how it should be implemented everywhere. As if you want 4k textures - download them separately. Bethesda did the same with fallout 4. Monolith did it with Shadow of Mordor. I don't know why it's too difficult to do

Around 10:31 where the guy goes "Who taught you code? Who the FUCK taught you code?" :story:
I don't know a lick about coding but I just had to make a clip of that.

sub 90 IQ.
you'd think he'd connect the dots that "government overreach" being the only way to fix a problem like this (one made by the industry and devs themselves) is telling how inherently malicious these corporations are.

if only we could just tell these corporations to stop this, and then they go
"shieeeet man sorry, you right" but the world doesn't work that way.
everything he wrote there are the thoughts of someone who can only imagine the shitty world he exists in now, and not a better one.
Disgusting Dirt Child.

So wait a second, you are telling me this nigga made a whole explanation to why he does some things (the whole array shit and the switch cases) to make the game "performant" and you store a fucking PNG in BASE64???????????????????????????????????????????

Fuck fagtree.

With that being said, I think there's a lot of :optimistic:Optimism:optimistic: currently in the thread. Do you really think this movement will succeed? Big company shareholders are all going to pick up the phone, say to each other:
:bogged: "No."

And there's going to be some sort of "OOPSIE DAISY YOU SEE YOU LACK LIKE 1% OF VOTES NEEDED LEFT THEY WERE ACTUALLY FRAUDULENT TEEHEE MOTION IGNORED BY THE EU" or some retarded bureaucratic sounding bullshit like that. Petitions never go anywhere if internet history is to be well known.

Don't get me wrong, I did spread the word as much as the next guy so others signed it and I hate Fagtree for trying to maliciously destroy a very important movement like this, but now that we've obtained one million signatures it's time we look at the big picture: This shit isn't going to work. Corporations will find a way to fuck us and there's nothing we can do about it.

Highlight my post. You know this shit is going to inevitably happen.

My profile is open for any stupid nigger faggot who adopts the "anyone who disagrees with me is a tranny" lack of reading comprehension mentality and wishes to say so without derailing the thread.

Do you really think this movement will succeed?
Yes. Most the people who i've seen argue that what SKG is asking for is unreasonable or a gargantuan task, look and/or sound like people that should be euthanized. There may be some push back, but this is not like the Apple situation, where forcing USB-C cut into their ability to scalp their customers. Nor is it like the market place monopoly(also about profits).

What SKG is asking for is rather small potatoes compared to those other things the EU has accomplished. In some ways SKG is a very conservative movement, it's asking for the industry to go back to how things used to be. It's not advocating to take us into some radical wild west. The amount of work needed from any given dev should not be tremendous. Most games will be unaffected by this!

No elif or try? What's the context here?
The entire thing is textbook beginner code showing a lack of understanding of very simple things like toggling booleans and if-statements. You can reduce these 5 lines to 1 line. It's working, it's not harmful it just shows that he is not a 20 year industry veteran.

I am not arguing about games being fucked you stupid fucking retard. I am well aware of what the movement is about. I am arguing it's very optimistic to think companies won't find some sort of way to stop this before it passes such as one of ross's valid worries which is fraudulent vote claims.

I think what you didn't understand about what I said is: because the impact of this proposal is so low, I don't see a reason for anyone to come after it. Again, it's not going to cut into profits massively like the USB-C or app-store issues.

If you don't get it after explaining it a second time, you're either a stupid nigger or trolling.
