'This is the case with all executive producers'
Yeah, this is the same lie that Lily pedaled to support her views, too. The 'executive producer' credit ranges from the guy who has final say over the production to the guy who gave them a lot of money for production and therefore has his name on the credits but didn't actually do jack shit.
It can also be a legacy title because, while the person doesn't directly work on the show any more, they were the creative lead and it's in their contract that their name continue to be front and center on the credits.
For instance, Steven Spielberg was 'executive producer' for the original Animaniacs, Pinky & the Brain, Tiny Toons, and Freakazoid back in the 90s. Steven Spielberg was not actually sitting at the Amblimation studio personally approving the final cut of hundreds of episodes of cartoons.
I do believe that Sugar's position as executive producer was the kind where she technically had final say on the product, if you don't count the network executives that have actual final say, but this is a title that's extremely variable depending on the production and -- once again -- to be a cartoon media critic and just not know (or intentionally misinform) about this does not speak well to your credentials.
As another point regarding morpmorp, while most of the writing ticks have already been brought up, I'll add to this that morpmorp seems to have been the one who dismissed the 'Hollywood Pudgy' trope using the phrase 'compared to somebody with proportions like a stick'. This is a phrase that Lily has used herself to describe comic!Lily in a similar context of making allegedly 'fat' characters that are only fat because comic!Lily 'has the proportions of a stick'. Small data point, but data point nonetheless.
