That guy from Neogaf is so right on the money. If you want to immigrate from another country it's cool but you can't come over and try to make a little version of the shit hole you left.

I'm of Mexican decent and worked a few years at an inner city school with 1500 kids. Roughly 85% of the kids are of Mexican decent and the majority are first generation. Every now and then I'd hear a student say "I wish it was more like Mexico here" and I'd always ask them why they'd say that. It usually went like this:

Me: "why do you want the US to be more like Mexico?"

Student: "I don't know."

Me: "your parents left Mexico to come here, right?"

Student: "yes"

Me: "why do you think they left Mexico?"

Student: "they couldn't find work/were very poor/very bad crime from drug gangs, etc."

Me: "so you think it would be a good idea if the US was more like the place your parents left because they had no work/opportunity/it was crime ridden?"

Student: the light bulb goes off

I had to stop asking kids about that because an angry parent came in one day and said I was disparaging their proud Mexican heritage.

Edit: I watched it for a while but I had to turn it off because the host keeps changing the subject and spouting random incorrect facts such as:

Europe has had ZERO ISSUES with Muslims.

And California is the richest state and is not horribly in debt.

The guy is such a retard and I'm wondering why Jon is still debating with him,

I haven't watched the stream (I'm getting extremely tired of these long-ass political arguments between e-celebs), but I can believe Jon making a fool of himself. During his recent political adventures he has been flying by the seat of his pants and mostly engaged people who already agree with him while Destiny actively educates himself on a wide variety of political matters and has experience debating people. I don't agree with him on everything, but from the few videos I've watched of him he seems to be intellectually honest.

Those redditors are still twats though.

I watched part of it and I would not call the streamer politically informed. Basically Jon would explain his point and the guy would immediately scream about something else and change subject. His strategy seemed to be to just keep hitting Jon with random incorrect factoids he got off of Huffington Post or CNN and proclaim it to be true.

The debate really needed a moderator.

I think a big question is if Jon wants to go down this path and be a politically informed comedian. Kind of like Bill Maher, or Dennis Miller, or Bill Hicks (to cover all spectrums). Or if he will back off after saying his piece. A lot of comedians try to stay a-political... Except for this recent election where everyone has Trump jokes.
