I'll add that he KNEW his "retraction" was insufficient because he had been dying to get Billy into court for the expressed purpose of "exposing" and "defeating" him on a world stage.

Of course he knew his retraction was insufficient. He's permanently been ruined by the social media, "gotcha," epidemic where you say everything in a super sarcastic manner and never give your opponent any benefit of the doubt without doing so in such a backhanded manner that you obviously weren't.

Unfortunately for Karl's family, he had to find out the hard way that you can't do that when it comes to actual serious matters.

Been trying to find more info about the second lawsuit Billy filed (the one Karl made the GoFundMe for) but all we known is that Billy’s lawyer never ended up filing it.

Karl mentioned the second suit being dropped on his GoFundMe around this time in an update.


Also interesting is that Karl posted an earlier version of Billy’s complaint in November 2023. There’s just zero excuse for him not bringing this up in his videos when he’s posting the full complaint in his Discord (although he probably felt more comfortable saying this shit in his easily persuaded Discord of 6,000 or so people compared to his larger platform).

Thanks for the correction! I just assumed they were different because Jobst mentioned Billy amending the complaint and I misremembered the imputations being slightly different when I read it. But, I was mistaken.

What a fascinating downfall. I did enjoy a few of his early vids, so I subscribed. Never cared about any of his Billy Mitchell stuff, it came across as YouTube drama and his own personal vendetta. What I did know was that Billy was a very disliked public figure and according to Karl, it was a slam dunk victory in the making. Ha!

Oh boy, this is one of the biggest servings of humble pie I've seen dished. Catching up on this and listening to his constant smug assertions that he was going to win, counting his chickens well before they hatched and then the ultimate defeat to the unloseable opponent. *chef's kiss*

DCS is the company "Deep Cycle Systems", run by an Australian with cheap garbage Chinese product, upsold as their own branded product, lies about company owned production factories in China, false advertising, retroactively changed return and quality policy, and apparently there are also claims about batteries exploding and causing significant damage to property.

It is another Drama video.

Louis Rossman covered the story where DCS tried to shut up a small youtuber who did a review about their garbage batteries by threatening him with a lawsuit.
It has turned into quiet the story.
