It's easy to say he just took the videos down because of Ian, but HMG took a bunch of money in preorders for those things, didn't make any, and went out of business and nobody got their money back or the guns they were promised, so that could be another reason Karl would take the videos down.
PSA is allegedly taking over those pre-orders, for what it's worth, but yeah it's probably both HMG going up in flames as well as the falling out with Ian

A fair number of cassette triggers do work in the KP-15. Actually most of them, I'm going to say the vast majority. I use Rise cassette triggers in most of mine, no trouble. What I see from Timney, Triggertech, Elftmann and so forth look pretty gtg to me as well. What does not work is the CMC sheet metal cassette triggers due to the deep 'chin' on them - I see some PSA ones that look no go to me too. My rule of thumb on it is if you can see the pivot round of the hammer stick out from the front of the cassette it's fine. Any milspec is also fine, as mentioned.

(The CMCs you can trim back the corner of the sheet metal to make it work rather than modding the lower, but I've never tried it.)

That seems to be the new standard, most of the complaints were from trying to install older models they had sitting around. But to be fair, some people had trouble with loose trigger assemblies for whatever reason.

I literally did a bunch of work swapping out cassettes I had lying around back when the KPs were coming out, just performing function checks. Because I got fed up with people handwringing about 'oh will it work' and Russell refusing to definitively state what would and would not work.

CMC was kind of the OG for cassettes, I wouldn't be shocked if more older triggers just copied the profile.

Anybody use Hyperfire triggers here?

They're kinda MILSPEC style, but should fill the role of a cassette trigger. Personally I use a Rise 140 and a nickel milspec, but I may need to scoop a Hyperfire soon

Ask the autists over in the MRG thread, someone probably has experience with or knowledge of them.

i used to like his match videos when it was something other than another AR
Which is why Ian is much more interesting to watch in a match, because he'll try out random shit, sometimes really clunky and unfitting guns. He's not the best shooter by any means, but he makes it interesting enough.

At the end of the day, I don't think they can tell you that you can't have grenades, but I do think that they are sufficiently different from a firearm that they will be able to say that if you're going to have them it's negligent to not have them stored safely when they can't do that with a firearm. That was the rule from 1620 to 1934
I think that's fair. Negligence with explosives obviously has magnitudes more potential for damage and casualties than just a negligent discharge with a gun.

you can see where this is going
Like this story. That could be just an anecdote, but fact is that there's been people throughout history who were being retarded as fuck with explosives, and other, unknowing people, had to pay for someone else's stupidity.

The GIGA-KABOOM in Beirut was exactly that.
- "What are we supposed to do with this large shipment of nitrates we confiscated?"
- "Uh, lock it up in a warehouse down at the docks, we'll deal with it eventually."

Then they put it off for years, until one errant fire touched it off and obliterated half of the city in just a few seconds.

"Forgotten Weapon's Moons Out, Goons Out is direct theft of InRange's Midnight Brutality. When their rules were first released they even still included references to PPC and InRange.

He refused to provide attribution to InRange for running Midnight Brutality because this was always his plan, and is now working with such *apolitical* content creators as T-Rex Arms, who is an active sponsor of his Moons Out, Goons Out event.

Running a basic plagiarism test against Ian's rules and InRange's provides a 90%+ match."

I'm not really sure how you can hold ownership over the concept of a night time shooting match
It's almost as if he's angling to create/run (or get paid for) the sanctioning body covering any & all night brutality-type events, whether the rules are copy pasted or not. If he can get a judge to put a stamp on it that'd probably mean a lot of royalty bux would be on the line as well.
