That has to do with how they are structured. Australian police, and presumably other commonwealth police organisations (Anglosphere and non-Anglosphere), operate under the jurisdiction of the state/territory police organisation (i.e NSW Police, Vic Police, etc.), and get their funding and directives from there. US police is much more local.

I hope Justin Trudeau tries to get involved, this whole story has escalated way more than it should’ve and having the prime minister of Canada cry about mean people on the internet is exactly the direction I would expect this to go. How a complete nobody like Keffals has managed to get all this attention is ridiculous, and if you listen to the story of this “swatting” it becomes clear there was never any real danger to Lucas from the cops (they talked to his “fiancé” and landlord prior to entering the premises so I highly doubt he was ever in any real danger and he’s just taking advantage of what swatting means in the US). I wouldn’t put it past Lucas to either have set this whole thing up by sending the threat in anonymously or having one of his Catboys do it.

The best part about this is that Lucas has taken attention off America First, which are his supposed sworn enemies. I hope he takes off tommy tooter and tries to call the internet police. He already called his local police department to go after us “cyber bullies” it’s only a matter of time until he tries to call the FBI and yells at the operator for misgendering him.
