Not just that but they're historical buildings, so you can't just do it with ordinary contractors. You need to do it in a way that preserves its historical value, which is going to be a lot more expensive. They also want you to prove up front you're actually even capable of doing it.

Lucas is an absolutely worthless troon with no skills or resources of any kind.

maybe its just me but i think this is the funnier outcome for keffals if you think about it. he thought he could be the hasan or destiny of trans political streamers and just sit around doing nothing but groom his cat boys and take every drug he could find. but instead he was chased off and burned every single bridge he had simply because he could not tell the full truth about something that everyone knows was a lie in the first place.

if a pedo like vaush can still have a decent size following and make enough money to live there is no reason keffals could not have done the same even if he was not the main character. but his lust for attention has now left him with nothing.

he is just another troon in a polycule who will do nothing and eventually fall back to his old ways as he grows older and he is forced to deal with the fact that he is still a man. but rather than come back online and get sympathy from other troons who are dealing with the same thing he will be chased away yet again. he dug this hole for himself now he has to live in it forever.

Keffals had negative charisma and couldn't handle/ignore backlash at all, so I highly doubt that history would change dramatically.
Also you have to take to account that the GFM scam had real life consequences unlike the tax folder incident (Vaush should date a woodchipper, by the way). People were scammed, the trans community was hurt as that money could go to other members who had an objectively better use for them, and so on.
Keffals was an unworthy person who got a massive break and couldn't handle it.
