Going through what notes I've got on Flexible Survival, it's probably going to be a bit before I can really make a proper review for it; there's been quite a few updates to the game, not helped by the Discord being a colossal pain in the ass to get info out of, since no one can seem to give a straight answer and only really caring about whatever political shit is relevant at this point. Seriously, only channel that's really active is the Politics one, which is basically a woketard circlejerk worse than fucking Reddit.

Can confirm they've added troonery to the game, though it mostly seems to be fairly useless flavor text at this point; going to have to try and ask around, hopefully my account doesn't get banned because I offended some furfag's made-up 72 genders of some shit.

Although it touches on a few topics that can easily devolve into woke like bullying and harassments, it never goes full retard in saying how they are one sided towards women/minorities or that they are always wrong. I don't think that its sympathetic depiction of communists is 'woke', because the capitalists also want you to provide for a critical need of the people, namely the money needed to please or take care of anyone at all.

From memory this does help somewhat in gameplay. The way housing is structured ingame is typically around a family unit, either local or immigrant, they have a kid that then forms another family unit. If someone dies due to disease, hunger or something, they're occupying an apartment as a single person but if they're gay, they can now have a spouse of the same sex that saves +1 room in a tenement complex.
This isn't usually a thing in other city builders like Frostpunk and I assume Tropico 4, 5 & 6 continue to have the edict to implement.

Homosexuals only exist if you let them, in the sense that this edict is the in-universe button to see homosexuality at all. You can manually arrest or execute gay couples, Dwarf Fortress style, but that sounds tedious and unsustainable. Tropico 3 only models social deviance using Respect, which comes from the parties they follow, and a completely disembodied Crime field that radiates from buildings with the wrong socioeconomic factor. This can only mean that all your little spics will be willing to do a little theft and assault when you're allowing it to be a criminal wasteland, to which I can only say.... based?

I know that Tropico 4 has it, Tropico 4 is pretty much just 3 with a bunch of new shit added and thus it pretty much has the same benefit where it makes housing occupancy more efficient. It also has an economic benefit, whether or not a certain citizen decides to rent a certain apartment or visit a certain building with an entry fee has to do with their family income rather than individual income, so after enacting fag marriage you can just jack up rent prices and entry fees on the whole.

They do add criminals in Tropico 4 and it has nothing to do with crime rate, anyone who is unemployed for too long can become a criminal. The more criminals, the more they raise the crime rate. Funnily enough since crime rate otherwise functions the same as Tropico 3, as you can imagine you can end up having no criminals but still have a massive crime rate because certain buildings (like industrial docks and tenements) still raise it in the area around them.
