I'm really happy

Some interesting things to note:

  • The Clean ability is finally coming back, after about 19 years from Kirby's Dreamland 3
  • The Helper system is re-introduced, from eighteen years ago from Super Star
  • Animal Friends are playable again, after about 19 years from Dreamland 3 also
  • Kirby is cute
  • he really is

I love Kirby, been playing since I was young (started with mirrors on gba) and I plan on picking this up on release. The combinations and teamplay look so fun.

Have they shown this game on the treehouse yet? Also I wonder if you can turn your current ability into a helper like in superstar.

Wonder what kinda final boss this game is gonna bring to the table.

This looks so legit. I spent countless hours playing through Super Star again and again with friends on helper. I personally don't think they've ever topped just how fun Super Star was, though Dreamland 3 came pretty close.

Having played Dreamland 3 on Virtual Console I'm really proud that Nintendo is making so many nods to it. Hopes to that it's as challenging.

Where's the Yo-Yo Ability? I miss it and I hope it comes back, too.

Yoyo was sick. One thing I loved about Super Star is how all the abilities had a bunch of things you could do with them rather than just one like in most other Kirby games. Made it a lot more fun to play around with them. I loved clinging to walls with Ninja or dodging around with Mirror.

Most Kirby games actually use the Super Star versatility, no? Limitations are only in Dream Land 2, 3, 64, and the GBA games.

To be completely honest I thought this was a shitpost thread and I was about to jump right in.

But you all are dead serious about enjoying the franchise so props to ya - hope it's everything you're looking for in a Kirby game.

Meanwhile, I'll just be waiting outside for that F-Zero announcement.... any... any day now...

One day, man... one day...

Is there any reason why you haven't played the FAST Racing games?

Agreed. It got pretty meta in Super Star Ultra where you had to figure out the Helper system to get treasures in Great Cave Offensive. The part where you had to summon the Burning Leo helper on a single tile and manipulate him to use a specific set of moves was intriguing.

Cool. We do have a Kirby topic. That new game is looking fun and I saw Meta Knight and got excited.

Kirby!!

I really enjoyed Star Allies. The post-game content wad no joke. Very fun and challenging. Plus the meteor baseball minigame.

Star Allies bored me to tears, though honestly many Kirby games do. New one seems promising, feels fresh.

I've kinda grown out of Nintendo games, but for some reason, Kirby still seems to make me feel good inside. Particularly Kirby 64. Just something special about that game to me as well as stuff like Super Star, Dreamland 3 and Nightmare in Dreamland.

The games all have this pure and concentrated charm to them.

Also this battle theme is just beautiful.
